Happy New Year!
Xander took his first dose of cerenia last night. He is still eating below average, but hasn't really refused a meal last night or this morning. He's just eating smaller portions leading to the overall lower amount. So far he's at 70% of average with maybe 1-2 more small meals I can get in him. I'm going to see if the second dose tonight shifts things and call the vet tomorrow to see if anything else should be given in addition, maybe ondansetron or mirataz?
Otherwise, he's remaining his normal self. He's maybe a little less interested in playing, but I think he may just be the cold or last night's fireworks. No obvious signs of pain or discomfort, and his BG is remaining stable. Also, finally had a big poop this morning.
How long does the typical pancreatitis flare usually take to resolve? Its been about 11 days of lower eating with a few normal days sprinkled in:
12/22 - 12/25 - below average eating (70-80%)
12/26 - average
12/27- slightly below average
12/28 - very low (57%)
12/29 - average (vet visit, gave gabapentin and very hungry after)
12/30 - slightly below average
12/31 - below average 80% - first dose of cerenia sucessfully given PM

Congrats on getting the Cerenia in him. I hope his eating picks up soon. I would definitely try the Ondansetron and Mirataz.
