I want to wish my LL family the Happiest of New Years! We saw so much loss here in LL during 2013, and while we all shed so many tears, I'm now taking a moment to celebrate all of our GA angels, and rejoice in the good fortune that our paths crossed with their paths. They are never with us long enough, but every second we have with them is a gift. Now they are beautiful little spirits watching down over us, making sure that we have a joyful new year. I can feel their energy all around me. And I know that I, for one, and eternally grateful that LL is part of my new year.

We are also sending out tons of prayers to Rhiannon as she mourns the loss of her Mom.

Still nothing earth-shattering going on with this latest dosecrease...another is on the docket, but since DH and I both head back to work tomorrow, I'm not sure if it will be before Friday evening or not. We keep hearing rumors that a big snowstorm is heading our way Thursday night, so one of both of us MIGHT be home on Friday, and if that's the case, the dosecrease might happen Thursday night. We'll see. I have never ever hoped for a snow day that closes the store before, but with today being the last day of a staycation that flew by in the blink of an eye, well, I'm hoping for a snow day that closes the store!!!!

It's our last day to work on the basement...after this, it's weekends only. Hopefully we'll get the rest of the sheetrock up. There is lots to do after this....recessed lights, drop ceiling, flooring, trim, fireplace mantle...it goes on and on. But finishing the sheetrock will be a huge accomplishment, considering where we started.

I hope Trixie slides down to the lagoon today. Hopefully the next dosecrease will get her back to good numbers. There has been too much loss this year. Sending prayers to all those who have lost a furbaby and good memories to bring a smile to their faces.

Morning Amy :-D If I could send you some of our snow so you can have your snow day, I would do it in the blink of an eye :lol: Staycations always go by too fast! LL is a better place, to have you and so many other wonderful beans and their kitties in it :-D I'm grateful every day that I found it, and I mourn with the beans that have lost their angels. I hope the dosecrease brings Trixie to some nice numbers so you don't have to do another one...come on Trixie, work that juice ;-) Happy New Year to you all!

You can do it, Trix! Work that jooce! Well said, Amy, we feel the same way: many GA kitties this year that we mourn, even though we never got to hold their little bodies or give skritches, and so thankful that we knew them and their beans. Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you Amy, I also wish for snow for you so you can stay home just a little longer ;-) Nice morning numbers so far Trixie :smile: and oh the joys of sheetrock (lol) I'm sure you will be happy when that part is done.
Yes, there has been waaay too many crossings this year. I love your take on celebrating the GA angels that are watching over us.

What you wrote about the LL GAs brought tears to my eyes. They will always be with us ♥
Good luck with the continuing basement project. It must feel good to see that so much progress has been made over the last week!

I bet you just love the thought of working all week and remodeling on the weekends. ;-)

Happy New Year Amy, Mark, and all the crew. Nice blues Trixie, but green is better. Good luck with the dose crease when it happens. I will say a little snow prayer for you. Wow on the basement. You guys are humming along. I hope 2014 is your best ever. Love ya!

I've said it many times before...meh. I'll be curious to see if she keeps it a solid blue start to the new year, or if she decides to go for a +2 fuds spike. Anyone wanna wager ;-) :lol: ??

The sheetrock is as done as it can get. DH has to build another stud wall before we can continue. And, of course, there is taping, mudding, and spackling screws. But, good, good progress this week! We're used to being weekend warriors when it comes to "home improvement", so having this project carry on beyond staycation is nothing new to us.
 
What a lovely post, Amy! There does seem to have been so many losses this year . . . but a lot of newbies, too. I have to start visiting some new condos in LL because there are so many names I don't know very well yet. The family is growing :-D

I hope you get your snow-day-staycation-continuation, although it sounds like you'll be working hard on the basement if you're at home! It's always nice to have some extra time at home to oversee a dosecrease. Back to blues tonight, please, Trixie!
 
Wow - finishing the basement? What an undertaking! We do a lot of projects around here, too, and by "we" I mean Doug works and I make the plans, keep him on track, take pictures and try to keep him as close to budget as possible. :-D

I hope you get your snow wish and that Trixie comes back down for you.
