Poppy and I want to thank @Hendrick Cuddleclaw @Angela & Cleo, @Bandit's Mom, @Wendy&Neko for supporting us and helping us get Poppy OTJ. She has been OTJ since Sept 27th.

There is no way that Poppy would be OTJ without your help. We went to 3 Vets and none of them were equipped with the knowledge to get her off the insulin. I am grateful to the Vet who diagnosed her and put her on Lantus. Because that got her started in the right direction.

You had the knowledge that we needed. There are two major things that you told us to do that got her off. One was the blood monitoring. And the second was the food and treats. I could not see myself pricking someone’s ear a few times a day. And I did not think Poppy would give up her high carb dry food and treats. But with your encouragement we were able to do it.

We are testing her twice and week and she is generally in the low 100s. Every now and then she will be 130.

In addition, we are grateful for the generosity of your time you spent with us and the patience you showed.

Thank you again for your support!

Sincerely,

Poppy and Sharon

What fantastic news Sharon! Well done.

Make sure you keep testing her periodically. Her numbers were riding a little on the high side and you do want to catch it early if she should go any higher. Typically cats will stay under 100.
