Morning LL,

yesterday's thread

WCR Sara has given me a nice green ps for the new year. She is back on her sleeping bag and just finished succumbing a head bath from Spence. [boston terrier] She didn't seem to object. It's kinda quite. :-D

WBR Bean is having a hard time with potty training the new dog Denny. :-| I spent most of the morning going around with a flash light and soaking down area's that he had scented. Didn't catch him in that act yet. I take him out in the morning hoping that he will poop and he just urinates. I praise him for that. After I brought him back in a while later I did catch him in the act of pooping inside. dancing_cat I took him right ouside and praised. I hope that lesson sinks in. He is a hard dog to catch because whenever he hears you, his attention is on you and he won't do anything.

Sorry to go on so much about the potty training. It just has me preoccupied and it's hard to focus on anything else, including Sara. I'd like to get this cleared up before monday. Don't know what I am doing wrong.

Hope you and yours have a wonderful year to come, Jan....have you looked online for any tips on potty training? I don't have any myself...but Monday is coming fast. Sigh. I am wishing you well with this project!

Sara is looking so good! Good luck with Denny and the potty training! I wouldn't mind walking him if I lived nearby. We aren't allowed to have dogs in my apartments :sad: .

you may not find it funny, but every time Binks has me convinced he needs a new boxer pup...i race to your condo!

seriously though...best of luck with Denny...I used to teach obedience classes, and for a pup under a year with no issues, the standard was 15 mins after drinking for urination and 40 mins after food for poops. Denny not being a puppy makes that useless info for you...but if he has regular bowel movements...maybe you can get an idea of the timing related to feed times and make it a ritual outdoor visit?
