Good morning and Happy New Year!

Here's to new beginnings!

Ole and I had fun playing fetch last night before we slept in the new year. His 5P's are good and his appetite continues to be robust. He'll ust the LB here in about 15 minutes where I'll test his ketones. I'm hoping for a slide today, but will be hiking in the Grand Canyon for the holiday, back mid afternoon.

Happy New Year. It sounds like you had a good New Year's Eve with Ole. Have fun on your hike today. I hope you come home to lower numbers.

Here's to lower numbers very soon in the new year. Good to hear he is playing.

I'm glad you are getting out. A hike is on our agenda today, too, but our local canyon is much smaller :lol: :lol:

Thanks for all of the support and well wishes!

Needless to say, I was very nervous this morning because Ole was acting like a very sick cat indeed. He was low energy right after we gave him his insulin, laying about, not interested in anything. This is very unusual for my rascally kitty. His high +2 test really threw me, and I was about to stay home from our GC hike. I really wanted to go but didn't want to leave Ole. I decided to test him just as we were leaving, if he again climbed, I would've stayed home, but because he came down, I went. I'm sure glad I did, it's a beautiful day for a walk in the park. We hiked to Skeleton Point off the Kaibab Trail (if you are familiar with the Grand Canyon). Very nice for clearing ones head and a great way to begin the new year. Everybody is pulling for our little fella, I know you are too, and it is greatly appreciated!
