Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (more, please!), and Happy Sunday, the first day of 2012

I would like to thank all of you for visiting Mannie's condo yesterday. What I wrote yesterday seems fitting here today, so please forgive the quote: "I wanted to day a heartfelt THANK YOU for all your posts. As difficult as last night and this morning have been it is so comforting to read all of the above. You guys, and this LL family of ours, are simply the best. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. She has been laid to rest now, with her toys, and the nanner that Mannie gave her yesterday. It was wonderful to see him go and say goodbye to her late last night: extremely touching. He will miss his sister. Fly free little girl!".

All is well in MannieLand. :-D :-D The kitties are somewhat subdued - I think they miss their sister. And the house is sooooo quiet! Was she really that noisy of a kitty? :lol: Maybe she was just a master at keeping things stirred up. What a girl she was. It is odd not to have a kitty making sure I am up - Elsa and Mannie have not resumed the kitty choir - she must have been the mastermind behind that too. :lol: :lol: :lol: I have no doubt! well, we are all doing fine. We all miss BJ, but she remains close to us, in our hearts. We had a great test feed shoot this morning: lots of purrs and head rubs from the Master Chef, aka the Nanner King. Breffis was consumed with gusto - still at warp speed, clean plate club status maintained, the auto feeder continues to be used, and well yes, once again Elsa did raid his auto feeder, and I am still running interception ... :roll: What else is new there. :shock: :roll: :roll: and we are slowly returning to the status quo, minus the choir: Semi-Normalcy in MannieLand.

Have a great day everyone! Catch up day here, bills to pay, laundry to do... and if I am lucky - a nice long hike/walk through the woods to the shore. YES!, and works for me. Enjoy your day!

Hey everybody! it's me, Mannie, reporting live from Rustys's barn. WHAT A PARTY!!!! I have no idea what time we fell asleep... but were awaken by Tess - poking us with one of them cooking things, ya know - a pancake turner, telling us to get moving. She wanted help with the flapjacks.YUMMMMMMMMM! Flapjacks! See you guys - I think we need a chillaxin' day today for sure.... Maybe we can conk out on Rusty's porch! ~~ Mannie

Morning Michelle, Mannie and Elsa! Maggie and I have been thinking of you this morning with BJ crossing the Bridge. We send comfort vines to you and Mannie and Elsa. We are remembering the happy memories of BJ and her wake-up kitty choir and whack-a-thons. I know this has to be a hard day for you and Mannie and Elsa. This morning I was visualizing Mikey (my GA kitty), along with all of our GA kitties, welcoming BJ as she was crossing over the Bridge. BlackJack is looking so vibrant and beautiful! Don't be surprised if you see flash sightings and hear her these coming days, as she is all around you.
I hope Mannie comes down just enough for you to get out and take that shore walk. Do you hear that Mannie, orders from Maggie, okay! Enjoy that walk, Michelle. I hope to do the same. Lots of hugs to you and scritches to Mannie and Elsa.

Oh boy, Mannie, what a party last night. I think I gained a few pounds last night and ince again I overindulged in the niptunis! Tess is making flapjacks! I can't wait. Let's go back to Rusty's porch and share the flapjacks with our deer friends, too. See ya soon, Maggie

Good morning Michelle. I think that walk is just what you need. mannie is being kind enough to let you take it. What a sweet boy! cat_pet_icon No need to stay too high though Mannie.

Ohhhhhh, what a night, I was afraid I wouldn't get up in time to cook. Did you see BJ through the veil last night? she looked so good, i just wish you could have touched her nose when you tried. The deer are coming too? I better make more flapjacks! -- Tess

Michelle, you definitely need to go take that walk. Everything else can wait. I have been thinking of you and hoping that last night wasn't too difficult. How sweet that you buried the nanner with BJ. The ultimate gift from Mannie.

Thank you for your support last year. You are such an inspiration to others and you are one special person. I hope this new year will be filled with love, peace, and joy.

Hi Ann, and Miss Maggie - Thank you so much! Funny how I miss all the little tings she did. Thought of that this morning when I tested Mannie. She always used to sit by him, make sure he was OK. It is good memory. what a nice visual you had this AM - i know she is doing well - and that is very comforting. And yes - I have heard her - three times yesterday - it was her meow... and thanks - a walk for sure, later today.

Hi Ann, and Miss Tess - Yep, sure looks like he is giving me permission - what a good kitty! And I so agree - what is up with that pink... come on down Mannie!

Tess - I know.... what a party! and I did!!!! She looked so good, all happy and healthy and stuff, and running and playing. It was so cool! I will help feed the deer - I can't believe how hungry they are. One of them says he will give me a ride - WOO HOO! let's get rolling - all these sleepy kitties... ~~ Mannie

Hi Georgia - an many thanks. I really miss her - we had her for 18 years, but am doing OK with it. The memorizes are good ones. And yes on the nanner - Mannie, in his way, had wanted her to have it, so that she did. And thank you so much for your comments - that means alot. I wish the same for you this upcoming year!

Mannie, how nice of you to give mamabean the morning off! But she will probably have a better walking if she knows you are safely on the blue floor. How about it?

Michelle, I'm holding you close today. I'm so glad BJ has already made herself known to you from the other side. You were blessed to have her in your life for many years, but you will have her forever in your heart. It's so incredibly sweet that Mannie gave up one of his nanners for his sis.

Happy New Year, Michelle and Mannie! Thinking of you while you grieve BJ's passing. I'm glad she's let you know that she is there with you. Mannie was so sweet to give her a nanner. Reminds me of our cat Stump caught a pigeon for LaVern (his sister) on the day that she died.

Hi Linda - so agreed - it was so kind of the nanner king to give me the morning off, now if the weather would just cooperate! :lol: And yup: hoping for the blue floor today. paws crossed! and thanks on BJ: i too thought it was so cool that Mannie did what he did. Ne just never knows how they will react.

Hi Liz - thanks on BJ - I am glad too! Knew that meow the minute I heard it. :-D Isn't it wodnerful how these kurkids think of their siblings when passing is near. I think he knew...

I haven't logged on to the board in a few days and am so upset to read about BJ. I'm going to miss reading about her singing and whacking activities every day just as I know you'll be missing witnessing them firsthand. How sweet Mannie was to her, finally letting her have a nanner!! Cats are very intuitive and he knew this would make her happy. I'm so sorry I'm late with my condolences, but it sure has made me realize that I simply have to make time for visiting here.

It's nice to see Mannie having the sense to hit the down button!!! I took a look at his SS. Now if only he and Champ both would dip their toes in some blue!!!

I hope the new year if good to you, Michelle!!!

Hi Patty - hey - many thanks on BJ. It was rather sudden, and we lost her within 5-6 days after onset of whatever it was that took her: they still are not sure. We've had her for 18 years: it simply may have just been her time. and I know - it has become very apparent these past few days without her that she was the leader in all the shenanigans around here, as the kitty choir, and the whack-a-tons have totally ceased. Sheshhh I miss those morning festivities! :lol: :lol: And a big yes on Mannie - he knew what would please her, and so he gave. It was truly great. and yes on the down button. I wish he'd remove all access to the up button. :lol: :cool: ANd thansk: HAPPY NEW YEAR to you too. I do hope it is good in 2012. :-D

Michelle, I was so Upset & sad to see that you lost your precious BJ..I know the pain of it & share your grief.
But having a sign to let you know she is OK, is a wonderous miracle. Today I was feeling bad for my loss of Copper last year, & DH said, I just heard Copper jump down from the windowbox here, did you hear it?
We have laminate, so when he used to jump we could hear his nails tap on the floor.
I took it as a sign too that he is still with us & watching over us. It is a great comfort to us.
It will take some time, but you just learn to live with their absence.. Praying for you & your babies to hold each other close, you will get through it.
May This Year be a better one for you, you have a great deal of happy things in your life, and lots of Love--Nicholas, Elsa, Mannie, your family, may they all bring you happiness now..

Hugs from us today, Michelle. Hope you were able to get out for the walk today. One suggestion... if you notice the kitty clan continuing to be subdued, or you notice Willie's numbers staying high, you might want to consider a feliway. I know it made a big difference for Willie as he mourned the loss of Miss Belle. Keeping you in my thoughts!!

Michelle - You have been on my mind a lot today. I'm so sorry I have just finally sat down to post to you. What a sweet boy Mannie is to give the nanner to BJ. The kids really do know when one is sick. My heart is very heavy for you as your house tries to find a new normal. BJ was a sweet girl and will still be there and send you signs.

Have a wonderful new year ! The support you have given us has meant the world to me.

Hi Roni - many thanks to you. I know you know all too well how it is. Things are better today - we all miss her, but know that she is better off where she is. she doesn't hurt any more. I have heard her meow three times - uncanny. nothing today, just feelings/vines from afar. and thanks - things will all be good.

Celi - what a perfect picture - alot of it looks just like her too. many thanks! and thanks for your words - you are too kind...

Hi Julie - many thanks. And yes I did. I really try to go everyday, no matter what. It's very rejuvenating for me. Like it alot.

Hey Christie - yup - walk was a done deal. And we even got some dun for a bit too. Bonus! and thank you for the suggestion - I will remember that. Mannie seems to be fine. Elsa is a little on the needy side - understandable. So we dish out alot of kitty hugs.

Hi Melissa - no problem - really. I know how it is. I so agree on Mannie's actions - i truly feel that he did know. AL he did that day was so considerate. and thanks - I think so too. I know I have heard her voice/meow... thansk on teh ewn eyar.. and well - you are welcome on the rest. :-D

Hi Michelle, just wanted to stop by and say I've been thinking about you today and wondering how you were holding up. Amazing that BJ has already given you a sign! That must be comforting knowing she's near. Hugs to you and Mannie today. I saw her pictures on FB, she was a beauty!
 
I am so late getting to condos today but your post is so poignant; it's amazing what big holes they leave in our lives....all their little habits that are particular to just them even though there are other kitties in the house. I'm sure she is still singing to you in your heart and you will always hear her.

And Mannie...keep coming down big guy!! You know you love those greens the best.

Hope you had as good a day as possible through your sadness. We all send hopes of a happy, healthy 2012 for all those in Mannieland.
