That's the right direction. :) I am going to do a mini-curve (every 3 hours) today. He's right on the blue/green line based on AT numbers (thanks for the instructions last night, @Wendy&Neko!) and our vet told us to do a curve on the first OTJ day.

Yesterday's condo

The suspense was killing me so I "cheated" and got a +5. :D Hit the vein accidentally at +6. Good Lord, that was a lot of blood.

Are you giving Henry small meals throughout the day? It can help stimulate the pancreas and keep numbers down. Try giving him a +8 or +9 snack today and see what that does to his preshot values. Bummer on the gusher, I'm sure we've all done that at one point.

Henry is looking great today. All green on the Alphatrak. Go Henry!:D Happy Day 1!!

To let people know that you've got a trial going, put something like "OTJ Trial Day 1" in the subject line. People here love to celebrate OTJ trials.

I've been giving him a half-can of Fancy Feast at AMPS, AMPS +6, PMPS, and somewhere between PMPS +6 and +8. So more frequently than that would be ideal? (I just recently made that change; before he was getting a whole can at AMPS and PMPS and a snack at PMPS +8.) Is that something I should aim to do long-term or just in these early days? I wish I could free-feed, but he's a glutton and also has feline and canine sisters who complicate matters.

I'm such a nervous mama today! :nailbiting: Is the depot still helping out at this point, do you think?

How about a different strategy for feeding Henry. It may be too much food all at once and his pancreas is getting a bit overwhelmed without insulin. Can you split the half cans into quarter cans and feed at AMPS, +3, +6 and +9 much like you're doing during the PM cycle? If you work during the day, there are a couple of options. You can get a timed feeder or you can make "catsickles." The latter involves mixing water with food so it's soupy and then freeze it in an ice cube tray or some other way you can make portions. You can then leave a few out when you're not home.

I work from home (which has been HUGELY helpful throughout this process--hats off to everyone who manages FD while away all day) so can do the smaller meals. Thanks!

The wooties are getting rowdy! They LOVE an OTJ party! :D

Beginning the count - congrats on day 1 of his OTJ trial! Those are all great numbers - keep it up mr henry!
