Happy new year everyone
I hope you had lovely celebrations and that your kitties didn't suffer too much from fireworks noise.
I'm still sick but no more fever. In a couple of day I'll be more normal again.
It's like Fistuk has gone through something in parallel to me, with almost completely blue cycles on the 29th and 30th, Yesterday when my fever started coming down he came back to greens (I hope you can still see the 2023 SS)
He had another bout of digestion difficulty from the AnimalBiom. First he pooped by himself, but out of the box and then moved around with discomfort, keep on tying to get something out, leaving only a dot of pee and yowling. After a while I gave him 1/s Miralax and he managed to let what was left out and could relax. But his Bg spiked at +3 to 155.
We will stop AnimalBiome for 48 hours and then start again.
His breath, which I learned is called stertor - not rasping - was still a bit loud. I gave him colloidal silver nebulising.
DOSE QUESTION: Fistuk had quite a lot of blues lately. I was wondering if it's because of not enough insulin or another underlying problem.
It could be that he has upper respiratory problem (whether infection or something else I'm not clear). It could also be the digestion gut restoration process with the AnimalBiome.
Should I up his dose to 0.25U to get him back to more greens or should I hold and see what's developing with the digestion and breath?
The vet comes back from holiday on jan 7th so I won't have any answers before another week or two. The AnimalBiome process could take another three weeks.
I might not be fit to monitor at night for another couple of nights. I suspect he might have gone low last night but I had such a horrible headache and dry eyes from the fever that I could barely motion myself to feed him. Eventually I tested him, he was 85 @+8.5 and that's after he had a good go on food.
Wishing you a peaceful day

but I am alarmed by Fistuk leaving a drop of pee on the floor while yowling. Are you 100% sure he was attempting to poop, not pee? Because boy cats are vulnerable to urinary blockages, and that can look very much like when they try to poop but can't. A urinary blockages is an emergency. Have you seen him pee since?
