Tuesday - New Year's Eve
Happy New Year and Good Morning all you LB&L'rs! I hope you've all had a safe and happy New Year's Eve and welcome to this new decade!
Last night I was thinking of what happened this past year - I remember seeing my dad after 30 years - and then he passed two weeks later. He was 92 years old and had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's.
My mom will be 90 this year - and she's having a time of it - she has dementia and doesn't like anything or anyone. It's sad seeing her this way.
My job has certainly changed from what we thought was going to happen by the end of last year - to what is happening at the end of this year - we thought we were going to have to change our entire coding to a new version - as it turns out it's not going to happen that way - and they're setting up servers to accommodate our existing code - which means when that happens things will blow up for me and work will be once again 'all encompassing'.
I'm grateful for friends and family - and for the support of the people on this group who've helped us so much with Luci and her diabetes!
Luci hasn't really made much progress this year from the last year - although we switched from Lantus to Levemir I do believe her bounces are not quite as high as they used to be - still can't pin down her nadirs...
I'm hopeful that this year will be 'her year' for improving health - no more broken bones - as I hope for the same for all of us. A positive year for everyone in all things personal and professional!
Luci must be feeling fine this morning - as she had the zoomies - although why she feels so good up there in that lemon tree is beyond me. I'm headed off to walk - hoping to shed some of those holiday cookies! ha ha!!
Have a great day everyone! Sending prayers to our special Boomer @Judy and Boomer
