Happy Mew Year!

The good news is maybe his food wasn’t causing higher numbers, the not so good news is I think he failed the reduction so I took him back up to .5u. Another complication is I am not sure if my pen is good anymore because I had to put it in a cooler the past few weeks because my fridge was freezing food. His insulin never froze, but I think without refrigeration it may not be so good anymore. I’m getting a new fridge Tues, and I’ll get a new pen, too so that part won’t be a question anymore. Also he his appetite isn’t as good so I’m giving him a higher dose of budesonide, which helps. But his IBS could be causing a slight increase in numbers, too.

Do you think an increase was justified? I’m second guessing myself now, but he seemed like he was trending down and then he was trending up and I don’t know why he would start going blue now (other than maybe his insulin isn’t working anymore or else he needs more juice).

Thanks, @tiffmaxee I normally am more reserved about increases. Since I’m getting a new pen, I think I should have waited. I’ll see how he does.
 
He dropped to 56 on 0.25U just a couple of days back. I don't think an increase was necessary. I was surprised to see the post on the increase because we were discussing a reduction a couple of days back :-)
