Kris, I wanted to ask a question, but I have not started a new thread for the last 2 days. If you could just give me your opinion, I would really appreciate it. I was drawing insulin out with a syringe for Buddy and I looked and thought that is a tad bit more than I was going to draw out and about that time my Mother started talking to me. I lost my train of thought for a minute, so I don't know if I turned the bottom of the syringe or not. If anything went in it was a minute amount, because when I looked at the syringe it was still a littlemore than I wanted. What would you do.

I am glad Teasel is doing so well.

To clarify: are you concerned that a little bit of insulin went from the syringe back into the cartridge, Teresa? If it's just one time it probably won't be a problem. We recommend not pushing Lantus back into the cartridge because of a risk of contamination that can degrade the insulin. I always draw up an tiny bit more than the dose I want, remove the needle from the cartridge and then turn the plunger to push out the excess onto a tissue.

That is what I was thinking of doing, but I lost my train of thought. If any went in, it would have been from a small twist from the bottom of the syringe.

Kris, I hope the calm remains calm and he is starting to flatten out .
