AMPS 191 shooting 2.75F

Boomer had a large drop last night at +3 so I got up at +4 and +5 to test and gave him higher carb food. I can't believe adding the fat to the 2.75u dose did it; perhaps the syringe markings were off.

DH is going golfing this morning; I'm going to stay home until +2 to make sure there isn't going to be another big BG drop this morning, then I might go out for a while.

Today's photo was taken a few days ago when I went out to photograph one of my backyard Blue Jays. He got very close (in the hope of getting a peanut I'm sure) so I took advantage and took a "head-shot"!
I've decided that two of my projects this winter will be books (flat-lay albums); one with my backyard birds and one with my favourite bird images, so I'm currently trying to get lots of shots of my backyard birds so that I have lots of choices!

Beautiful BJay picture, you can actually see each individual feather! I hope he got his peanut!
I hope Boomer cooperates so you can go take more!

I am always surprised how much difference just a small amount of insulin makes for Mowgli! I hope Boomer surfs safely today :)
 
Well my plan was to test at +2 then go out unless Boomer showed signs of coming down quickly. But like usual the weather isn't cooperating (and the meteorologists were wrong) and it's still quite cloudy out so I'm testing at +3 (like usual) and I'll see what it's like out then.
 
Love the blue jay shot! We only get stellar jays here, characters in their own right. Nothing like gray jays or whisky jacks that are a little higher up the mountain. Great idea on the books. This time of year we get a few special guests like wood pigeons because of the arelia berries

Using BD’s without calipers, entirely likely, :rolleyes: or he could be sensitive to small changes.

nope, that Is Alberta, maybe @AmandaE has some comments on weather. We are sunny, cold at night, down to 8 C, and waiting for the blasted winds to move on. Missed two rowing practises due to them. :( Forecast keeps saying calm, but raging whitecaps from outflow winds.

Happy to hear you're not being hit by the snow. On the news they said that parts of BC would get it too; glad that was an error!

I think the Coquihalla highway and some of the mountain tops got hit by snow, probably more in the north and east of the province. We are our own microclimate here. I hear the folks at Whistler are doing the happy dance.:woot:
