J.D. had a really nice poo :) last night. He's been having really nice poos the night after getting his fluids, lately.
He also woke me up in the middle of the night and was very purry. I think he was proud. We cuddled for quite a while as he purred.

He only ate a little bit of food on his own today, but got all his syringe food. We have had a few walks.

His vet called regarding his blood work on Saturday and said that his glucose was better, phosphorus was better (was 3.0 and is now 3.7?), RBC and HGB are down a little more, and his HCT is low normal. His Magnesium is 1.7. It was 1.8 on September 2nd (his only other test). The range is 1.8 to 2.4. Does anyone know about or have any experience with low magnesium?

I will pick up the paperwork in a bit.

Our regular vet is going to fax the results to J.D.'s Internal Medicine Vet to confer with her. But she said that could take days.

Re: 09/29 J.D. AMPS 432, +3 150, +4 107, +6 177 - Magnesium

Nice blue surf today, J.D.! Very healing!!! :-D

I don't know anything about Magnesium levels in cats. I know when mine is low I get headaches. No idea if that translates.

Sounds like his other BW results show improvement, so yay for that!

Hope you have a great Monday, Dyana.

Sending more appy vines.

Yay for poo and a nice blue surf today. I don't know about the magnesium either.

Serum Spec fPL concentration is consistent with pancreatitis. The cat most likely has pancreatitis. Consider investigating for risk factors and concurrent diseases (e.g. IBD, Cholangitis, Hepatic Lipidosis, Diabetes Mellitus). Periodic monitoring of Spec fPL may help assess response to therapy.

I'm mostly concerned about the low Magnesium.

J.D. just ate over 1/4 can of MC FF Medleys. :thumbup

I'm off to the grocery store, and then will be back in a bit.

Hi Dyana

I know nothing of Magnesium but just want to let you know that you and handsome JD are in my thoughts.

Sending vines of healing and comfort :YMPEACE:
