Hmm, lovely red :oops:

J.D. has eaten his first breffis, and is back in his bed.
I took a cute picture of him at +11 sleeping with what looked like a smile on his face, but my camera takes too long to download.

I feel your pain!!! The night before last, I had to put an ugly 409 on Champ's chart. Come one, J.D., downdowndown....though not too fast so we don't set up a perpetual bounce and dive.

The Adequan finally came today. My vet gave him 12 units on Saturday. I just gave my first IM shot today of 15 units.
I called my vet and mentioned that he was supposed to get 30 units (per other's experience on the board), and he said he was erring on the side of caution, so I gave 15 units.

So, I have to figure this out:
If he is supposed to get the Adequan twice a week for 4 weeks. I could give it to him on Thursdays and Sundays. Does that sound okay? He kept moving (extending) his leg at first, each time I jabbed him, but I finally got it in the right spot and injected.

It was just sunny outside and raining at the same time, so of course I had to look for the rainbow and stand out in the rain and get some pictures. :-D

Yes, that sounds right. It will be 3 days on one side and 4 on the other. That's fine.

Linda, do you give it IM or Sub Q?

J.D. has felt very active tonight. Chased a bunny for a bit. But, it's probably just the lower BGs.

I hope the adequan helps. Were you scared giving it IM? My vet wants Simon to try the adequan but because it is IM, he said I should get the shots in the office. I would love to be able to give it at home so Simon won't be so nervous, but not sure if I could do it. Simon is on dasuquin now and it seems to be helping a little.

J.D. is looking very nice and green tonight!

We tried Cosequin, but it didn't seem to do very much.
My vet litterally, goes by the book. The book said to be given by a veterinary technician only, unless the owner can be taught to give he injection. So, I kind of begged, and he spent about 5 minutes of our appointment time, showing me where and how to find the muscle.

Well trained kitty: I found him laying next to the kitchen sink. Even though I had fed him 1/6 can FF at +4.75, and another teaspoon at +5.25. He knows whats coming :-D so I got some cooked shrimp out of the freezer to thaw for him.
 
I've always given Mario his shots SubQ and it works just fine...I can definitely see the positive effects of the adequan.
