09/29 civvie Farrall crossed the Rainbow Bridge @ 11:35 am

Previously

Her blood pressure had plummeted overnight and they were having trouble maintaining it. They had to tap her chest repeatedly, and then that caused the lungs to start collapsing.

When I went to see her, they had put in a chest tube because of the lungs and she was on a suction machine to try to reinflate it. The prognosis wasn't improving and Farrall never liked being fussed with, so I made the decision to let her go.

I got to hold her for a little bit, off the machines, and then her lungs started going again and I called for the vet. I craddled her as the vet gave her the injection and she slipped away quietly, without gasping for air or being in pain.

Requiem aeternum, my big girl, my Farral, my Farou-ka.

BIG hugs for you, what an amazing Mama you are. I'm so sorry it was her time to go but so thankful she had a Mama to care, love and hold her to the end. Fly free sweet baby and land softly back in your family's hearts....

I went through a similar experience with my civvy Calypso (GA) about 1mo ago, it's so hard to see them like that.
