It’s getting better and better. Maybe you are getting closer to the right dose. Hang in there Jodey. You are doing great.:bighug::bighug::bighug:
And, then, again, let's board the rocket...
This is what gets me about acromegaly, when it's active. There seems neither rhyme nor reason to the valleys and summits. It's as if acromegaly makes it really, really hard to regulate using either method.

Yes it does make it way more difficult. I worked in healthcare for most of my life and have had some really stressful situations, but I’ve never experienced anything like caring for a cat with acromegaly though. It has to be one of the most difficult things I’ve ever done. All we can do is do the best we can. I have to tell myself that over and over again. I hope he will come back down soon for you.:bighug:

This is one of the things that's rather curious to me - some cats (like Mr Kitty) are just flat til you hit a breakthrough. Looking back, I'm not even sure I see a single bounce with him. Yet others like Max, Eddie, etc just boing boing. I suppose same could be said for any diabetic cat though...the high doses just add insult to injury a little bit

I guess what I mean by hard to regulate and what I hear from Lori and what you, Melissa, mean by "insult to injury" is the frustrating fact that with acrokitties it just seems like forever pushing a boulder uphill, like Sisyphus. I do the best I can and then boulder rolls back down the hill and everytime I tell myself, don't give up. I dread having to increase again but it's looking like it will be necessary. Even with the no-sting of Levemir, it's a lot of insulin to push into his little body.
