AMPS=88

I shot - I tried to skinny it up by a drop or so. I have HC gravy draining. Will test @ +1 and see where he is. I may have to abort the cycle.

I am not sure what to think of these numbers. I am afraid of the C-word. Have been thinking about that for about 2 weeks now with these reductions. I don't have a good feeling about it so it is hard to get excited.

Speaking of the C-word, we got news last night that my BIL has Myelomonocytic Leukemia.

Not a real happy time in the Gizmo household.

Well, Gizmo.......Lizzie, the SS says 88, obviously you tested twice. It's hard not to go to the worse case scenario when we feel our babies aren't acting completely normal. What makes you think the C word? The iffy appy or something in the blood work?

I hope he will just surf along for you today, shot low to stay low. I just saw your +1 entry. Let's see what the 1.5 does.

And I am very sorry to hear about your BIL. I don't know anything about that type of leukemia and I hope that it is treatable with a good prognosis.

I screwed up the numbers on the post. +11=93, AMPS=88, +1=90. I corrected the numbers on the condo.

What makes you think the C word?
Just seeing it here with the quick drop in need for insulin. He seems to feel better today. I gave him a wee bit of pain meds last night - I was afraid it would do this to his numbers but if he is in pain, I don't want that either.

Left a teaspoon-tablespoon of HC gravy in his +2.5 and his +4.5 snacks. He has eaten about 95% of his +2.5 as of now.

Sorry about the "downer" post this morning. I try to always be positive but sometimes I just get down.

It has been a rough week. Work, pain, exhaustion.

I will try and post more about BIL/MLC later.

At least we have one of the best cancer centers right here in Houston (MD Anderson).

Looks like a nice surf today. It's hard to know if he went too low today as he isn't a big bouncer.
I don't think he went too low. I now know what the HC gravy will do (see 09/23 PM +2). He had held ~90 for 3 1/2 hours this morning (+11 thru +1.5) and got HC gravy in +2.5 and +4.5. Not a lot but enough that it would have bumped him up 20-40 each time.

/but he is a cat so who knows :p:cat::D

This is uncharted territory for us so it is a whole different ball game and I don't know all the rules yet (kinda feel like my whole life is that way right now :banghead:)

I don't think he went too low today either. I would take the PMPS at face value. I have said this before and I will say this again: For those who work full time, my heart goes out to you for your comfort levels and to know how to proceed.

You are doing a great job, Lizzie!

Oh man! I think Bobbie is probably right though, if it’s just drop in insulin need and no other symptoms - poor appetite, weight loss, etc - it must just be a reduction in insulin need. But I understand about worrying about the c- word, I worry all the time. I wish I knew for sure WHAT was wrong so i knew what to do.

Sorry to hear about your BIL. :bighug:
