Squallie is content today, but not having a real good appy and sleeping a lot. His numbers are rising again, and I wish I knew why. He doesn't seem sick but his ears are slightly warmer than usual. I'm wondering if his teeth are bothering him. I also think his arthritis might be giving him trouble. Maybe a trip to the vet is in order. Or maybe I'm just paranoid - I love it when the vet gives me that look that says, so clearly, "why have you brought a perfectly healthy cat in to see me?", lol!

Prayers and healing vines to all who need them.

It's too easy to worry about the little things when they seem off. I hope Squallie gets over whatever is bothering him soon. Sending prayers. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
Thanks, Carla. Yes, it really is easy to worry about little things. Sometimes having a good imagination is not such a good thing, lol. :banghead::bighug::bighug::bighug:

I've had one tell me I was crazy this summer. Oh well, I was right (thanks to FDMB) and he was wrong.

When I was starting out with Girlie and before FDMB, I was seeing the vet at least 3 or 4 times a week (uber there and back, no less), ringing the after hours emergency room for advice on how to do a manual blood test and ask the tiniest little questions, and having daily phone conferences with the vet. At one point - too exhausted and terrified - I actually YELLED at the vet on the phone! I'll give her credit: she was doing her best to keep me from going off the deep end in that first month or so. Still, I wasn't getting the basic information that I needed to be able to understand this disease and how best to treat Girlie, and the advice I was getting just wasn't sufficient for me.

I'd been looking in at FDMB off and on and then decided - in my absolute desperation to try to get someone to help me - to join. And although I think I drove Wendy and Neko and Bron and Sheba in particular absolutely NUTS for weeks, I am no longer a basket case - or as much of a basket case!

Although my vet likes the FDMB SS, she doesn't know I visit the site or follow the advice and suggestions here. She has no idea why I've calmed down or why I've suddenly become so "knowledgeable" about interpreting what's going on in Girlie's SS. She doesn't agree with me and looks puzzled by much of what I say, but that's okay: she's not driven to oversee me closely and I'm happy with what I'm doing. It was clear, though, that for a while there she thought I was truly losing whatever marbles I had left... :p:D:eek:
