09/27 Henry AMPS 132 +3.5 79 PMPS 127 +3.5 86

Hi Robert. You asked my opinion about Henry. You have him tightly controlled but he is now a year post diagnosis. Some cats go otj after a year and even two years but the longer diabetic the less chance from my observation. My boy was one of those. Henry is only 10. He looked like he was headed otj at the beginning of the year but it didn’t happen. Any chance he needs a dental? Is he happy and healthy otherwise? I will think about this and see if I can think of anything else to try.

Henry is very energetic and happy. His coat is in excellent shape. He show no signs of not being well in every respect. His teeth and gum line look very healthy.

Keep the dose status quo?

I would increase as he’s creeping up. I’m glad he’s feeling good.

Most cats will have dosage changes thru their life meaning numbers always change and this is typical FD behavior

OK I will increase from 1.625 to 1.875 AMPS tomorrow

Henry is unusually large cat his body dimension from nose to his hind legs is 22 inches and if count the tail he would be 36" long

19 Pounds he was 25.75 pounds, He's still losing but a much slower rate. He's back to jumping on the countertops which he not done years

My point is henry dosage seems high but this a 19Lbs cat, now the Vet did say ideal weight is 16-17Lbs being he so large

You keep an EYE on him because he (Henry) likes you

It’s so hard to get a cat to lose weight. He’s not on a large dose, especially considering his size. You take very good care of him!

Yep. He still needs to lose weight. Max was fluffy too. I weigh my two girls weekly so they will never have that issue. Can you feel any ribs? No waistline so far.

Picture below is current 09/28/2021

If you look just in front of Henry's back legs that pouch started to form when his weight loss diet started

You can't tell by looking at it but it really droops about four inches

Now another pouch is forming just behind his front legs too

We got Henry on a 320 calories daily - Henry being some what active the 320 calories might work out for a 16 - 17Lbs cat - (current weight 19Lbs)

I thought I would post this because his weight does have a role in his diabetes - the more you folks know about Henry will help you on making recommendations

Thanks to whole entire FDMB forum - ALL OF YOU ARE A GREAT BUNCH OF FOLKS
