09/26 J.D. PMPS 509 - J.D. needs vines, please.

I was happy to see that blue :)

Not much to report this morning. J.D. ate normally last night, not a super big quantity. He slept with me for a while and then slept the remainder of the night in his bed in the living room.
At +11.5 when I got up, he sprang out of bed because these cats just love their outside time and headed to the sliding glass door. He got his meds. and then ate his 1st Breffis on the couch, and his 2nd Breffis on the deck outside.

Does Bupe evaporate? I'm asking because when they give it to me in a plastic bottle, it always seems to be such a little amount and seems to get used up so quickly. I got Quantity 2 in a plastic bottle with a plastic stopper thing on top that I am to put the needleless syringe into, invert it, draw the dose, right the bottle, and then take the syringe out. I think that Quantity 2 means I should have gotten 20 doses of 0.1. I gave him five doses of 0.1 and eleven doses of 0.05 which equals 1.05 and I may have one dose of 0.5 left in the bottle. Anyway, she gave me Quantity 4 in a regular glass vial with a rubber stopper this time.

He has enough Flagyl to last him through Friday night and then we are see how he does poo wise over the weekend.

I was to reschedule him for another Spec fPL test in 2 to 3 weeks, and he has an appointment in exactly 2 weeks (next Thursday), but at first the doctor said to test like to like and not fast him for this next test as he was not fasted for the first Spec fPL test last Thursday. Now, I am getting the instructions to fast him, and I asked about that and it was confirmed that I am to fast him this time.

I'm late as always. Off to get ready for work.

I'm glad J.D. is eating good for you. I hope he slides down today. I don't know about the bupe. When I've gotten it, it's been in a little brown vial and it is hard to see how much is inside. It always seems like there is less than there really is. Sending prayers for J.D. to get better.

well yuck on the having to fast... but I seem to remember it helps with the results being more accurate. ( or something like that)

I came home to find J.D. and Ginger sleeping together in the big doggy bed. J.D. didn't seem to feel so good. I fed him 1/4 jar of baby food at PMPS and he ate another before I left of a H.O.A. meeting. When I got home at a little after +2 he ate 1/4 can of FF Chunky Turkey and then another 1/4 can.
We went for a quick walk.
At +3, he was still 440. I was thinking about giving him some more R (he got some at PMPS). Then, just now he threw up everything he ate this evening.
I did check for ketones before I left for the meeting and he is clear.

Maybe, I'll have to take tomorrow off from work.

He was out on the deck and came in to throw up on the floor :roll: then went back out on the deck.
20 minutes later I went out there and he was sleeping (laying with his head down), and I gave him some (1/3 can) of MC FF Medleys and he slurped up the whole thing and then helped Ginger to eat her helping of the same MC which also had regular FF Chunky Turkey underneath, and I'm hearing all kinds of munching and bowl clicking and both bowls are clean. Am I bad in feeding him so soon after throwing up? This is so disturbing to me.
At the home owners association meeting, I could barely concentrate and they have big time heavy things going on.
 
I don't think it would evaporate if the container was sealed. Maybe the vet didnt give you as much as you think?

Dyana, it seemed like that for me too.... like the plastic bottles went faster... I dont know though... maybe just coincidence? QTY of 1 usually means 1ml. So QTY 2 would be 2 mls so yes should be 20 .01ml doses. I might ask if you think they are shorting you a little bit - Bupe is expensive!
 
It is now 35 minutes after his big throw up and he just happily ate another 1/6 can of MC FF Medleys and would gladly eat the rest of the can. I'm just not sure if he should be eating right after throwing up everything, but he is hungry and eating, so I'm going with it.

He just climbed up his cat tree, which means he wants a treat. This cat is going to drive me crazy.
He seems better now. Thanks for the vines. You guys are wonderful. :YMHUG:

Him and Ginger just finished the last of the can of MC.
Maybe it was all the meds at once before I left for the meeting. Flagyl, pepcid, azodyl, cypro, and ondansetron.
 
I think you need to talk to a pharmacist about giving all of those meds at once. The Pepsid needs to be given at least 30 min. before a meal. Flagyl can also cause nausea.
