Today is our first full day of leaving Ivana alone. Nervous :nailbiting: Looking at her recent numbers I highly doubt she will go low, but I'm still nervous about it. Have got her auto-feeder all set up ready to open at +5, and we'll be leaving after her +2 test and won't be home til just before her shot tonight. Eeeek!

She survived, yay! And I haven't yet checked the auto-feeder, but I'm pretty sure she wouldn't have starved either ;-)

Vyktors Mum (sorry I can't remember your name!) we will be increasing her to 1.25u tomorrow morning - wanted to wait til we will be able to monitor her, given that her last increase led to a hypo.

Question: Ivana is normally on a 6am/6pm schedule, but unfortunately we got held up today and she didn't have her PM shot til 6.30pm. I know that there is usually a 30min leeway with Lantus, so normally that wouldn't be an issue. However, given that we are going to be increasing her dose tomorrow morning, is it still ok to do it at 6am or should we wait the full 12 hrs and do it at 6.30am then creep back to 6/6?

Ok so we've made an executive decision to do her next shot exactly 12 hrs later, at 6.30am. Then gradually bring it back to 6/6. Hey, that means we get a Sunday morning sleep-in!

Yes, I've moved Polly without concern in 15 minutes increments when I've had to alter the shot schedule. (15 mins. a.m., 15 minutes p.m.)

But since youre dosecreasing, and can manage the shift back to normal times, going with the 12 hours exact will take away any questions if her numbers surprise you.

Thanks Anne and Marilyn. I did enjoy the extra 30min in bed this morning, though I'm not sure if the alarm going off at 6am on a Sunday morning can be classed as a sleep-in haha. Better than 5.30am though :-)
