WCR: All is good in BlackieLand. Yesterday's PMPS # was more than likely my having to poke a couple of extra times in order to get a sample. Poor sweet girl. I'm liking this morning's #, though. I'm looking forward to having this Num Num Shuffle finished in a couple of weeks (October 7th). I'm watching to see how she reacts to so much food at once. :lol: I think she's getting a tad overwhelmed. :lol: However, I'm calculating the calories, the amount, etc., and if she doesn't eat it all in 1 sitting, then I'll just have to remove a bit. Still working on the same amount of insulin, though (3.25u).

MY WISH: For God to help heal the broken hearts of those who lost a beloved pet and/or human... For God to help those ailing make a full and speedy recovery... For everyone to have great #s... For everyone to be OTJ.​

Very nice start for Blackie indeed! I hate those high-pokey attempts, too. Trix has her "winter ears" on now, and they don't bleed as easily as they do in the warmer months. So far, we haven't had to do multiple pokes, but there have been a few times that we've been close to needing a second shot. The end is in sight for the shuffle - hopefully you'll get the results you're after!! Have a great day, Angela!

The experiment hopefully will have some positive results after all this is said and done. She's been eating at PS, +1, +2, and +3 for so long, and after reading some profiles on here, it got me to thinking about trying it out on her, too, to see how she reacts. You never know until you try, right? :lol:

Hi Angela,
I hope the food experiment works. Rusty gets his food all at once in each meal period and free feeds nicely. He gets breakfast, lunch, +9 little snack, dinner, and bedtime food (essentially another meal). All in all he probably eats about three 3-oz cans in a 24-hour period. He weighs 16 lbs, 8 oz.

How are you doing? I hope the fur gang is helping you out.

I'm doing ok. The grief for Shadow is passing, thankfully. Old habits die hard, though, as I keep looking out the window to see if I can see Shadow on the porch. I think it was Saturday night that DH asked me if I was going to feed Shadow after I've asked him to lock the front door for the night. Our porch seems empty without her box there now. We're not adopting any more outdoor cats. That's it.

I'm glad Blackie is doing good. I hope you get good results when you're done with the shuffle. It is hard to break those habits of looking for one of our furbabies when we lose them. Sending prayers to you and your DH.
