I have this old decrepid old Sherpa carrier that I am going to try this time, maybe, if I can get him in it. I used it way back when for airline travel for J.D. I'm going to try that this time. Wish Me Luck. It has a shoulder belt. The zipper on the front is very difficult to open, but the one on top I can open pretty good, It's so old.
Luckily when I get home he races (on the leash) to home and I can barely keep up with him, but he definity knows where home is. It's a long walk from where my car gets parked to my condo.
 
I have one of the Sherpa carriers I used for Neko too. And for the airline. It was the only one that fit her under the seat.

I always had J.D.'s harness and leash on when traveling anywhere (which I still practice), but because he was kind of a big cat, after take off and before landing, I would open the front for him and he would lay with his front end out of the carrier. Well, it was a long flight to CA, and back, and I would sometimes fall asleep mid-flight so I would wrap his leash around my hand real good hoping to wake up if he should wander. He wandered a couple of times.. Once the stewardess came and woke me up and said my cat was in the row of seats in front of me. I got him back and he was all sticky like someone had thrown or spilled their fruity drink on him. During the comotion, the people in the row in back of me who were much kinder said he had been visiting them too.
 
A bunch of neighbors gathered to help my 98 year old neighbor to get her many plants and furniture back onto her deck after it was power washed with bleach this afternoon.
Just got back. Such a good neighborhood.
Afterwards, there were a bunch of hungry squirrels outside asking for peanuts, so I threw some and then let the cats out for a bit. They get about 10 minutes outside and then I call "Treats" and they come back inside with enjoyment.
Waiting now for PMPS.
I guess I just shoot if he's over 70, and try to stay awake..
