@Wendy&Neko I have a question or, rather, a thought that in part is a question that you probably know the answer to but, for me, it might be a discovery.
Currently (as of last week), Eddie is getting 100ml sub-q
every 7 days rather than every 3 days, which he's been getting for awhile. So, in effect, he's not had any sub-q for six days as of today. Tomorrow is sub-q day.
I read that even mild dehyrdration can increase BG. In a person, it can cause an increase from "50 to 100 mg/dL or higher." This occurs when the amount of water in the bloodstream decreases, increasing the concentration of blood sugar in the blood.
I would think it wouldn't be any different for a cat. Starting tomorrow, I am going to try every 3rd or 4th day to see if there's a difference. because I can tell Eddie is not as hydrated now when I pull up his skin for insulin...
What do you all think?
