Good morning

Cooper now tries to "bury" part of his food when he doesn't finish all of it. I suspect this was triggered by the time Charlie stole his leftovers lol. I make sure to close the bedroom door now so poor Cooper can eat the rest at his leisure without worry.

Oh poor Cooper! Glad you are arranging him to eat in peace.
Some cats do have the tendency to bury foods.
In our household, Yuz seems to assume the role of a bury-man .
After "burying" his food, he goes around and does the same thing for everyone else's left over

Lol on the burying I hVe a few that do that, Félix in particular makes me laugh he only burys his favourite flavour, its his way of saying,
' yum, that was delicious, save me some for later'

Our other cat buries his food to save for later. He’s done it since we got him and we think he used to be a street cat. I always wondered why he still did it, since his food source is reliable now, but I realized all this time, his food was always where he left it so he thought his burying was successful

That is adorable that your kitty does it with his favorite one! I was worried it was him not liking it at first and burying it like he would his poop LOL. Then it dawned on me. He's just not quite as hungry as he used to be, but he still loves his food and doesn't want it stolen!
