Cooper is really on a roll these days!

Yesterday I got back from dinner and found Cooper's plate of food empty. Peculiarly, some of the food seemed to have fallen outside his cage onto the floor and was down the side...looks like his brother, Charlie, helped himself to the rest of Cooper's dinner. The good news was Cooper was hungry, so I did give him some extra snacks last night.

I cut his portion by a quarter can for breakfast, and he ate all of it with no issues. I also nixed the digestive supplement I've been giving as he had soft poop yesterday, so maybe he no longer needs it. I'm going to keep monitoring him this weekend to see if he throws up again.

Cooper has never been one to leave any scrap of food behind, so Charlie took full advantage lol! I'll have to figure out a anti-Charlie set up for any leftovers now.

Thanks I went ahead and gave him about a teaspoon and a half of LC as Angela said, will test again in about 15 minutes now. Luckily he is acting completely normally. I checked my notes for low BG and saw that 50 was potential hypo, so that scared me!

50 and above on a human meter is normal. Below 50 is low numbers but we use the word hypo only for a symptomatic episode.

It's not a specific BG number exactly. We're looking for the onset, nadir, surf then *hopefully* slight rise in BG.

He's at 61 now, so now looks like we're possibly going up! So since we have 2 tests that are rising, should I hold off on another snack in that case? And will test again at +6.

Since he is rising a little slowly, I think I will give him another teaspoon since he's still kind of low and see what +6.6 brings.

ETA: Actually I'll wait until +7 maybe since he is rising. Save his ear a poke lol.

66 is a safe number and you are at +6. Stick with LC and if the next test is the same or higher, I'd call it a night, unless Bron thinks differently.

He is the most chill cat I've ever met, and always has been! I've had him since he was born and chose him for being "the sweetest, dumbest boy of the litter" LOL. And I say dumb affectionately.
