PurrFace is feeling good and acting normal. His appetite is strong, he plays, preens and the rest of the Ps are there as well. He has me scratching my head. His numbers aren't anything like they were when he was on this dose a few weeks ago. This morning began his 8th cycle on the dose so he still has a little time to start working it. One problem might be that DW has been giving him his morning shots and I've been giving him the PM shot. I use the TERUMO. She doesn't like the Terumo and told me she has been using the last of the MONOJET syringes. We both have use the same syringe so we have that corrected and now time will tell.

I didn't post a condo yesterday. I'll just say it was "one of those days" and leave it at that. I hope everyone is doing well and having a great weekend.

Hi, John :-D
I hope PurrFace decides to come down for you today.

Just curious, as I'm considering switching to different syringes: what do/don't you and DW like about Terumos vs. Monojects?

I hope you guys are having a great day!

Hi John,
You and your DW should definitely be using the same syringes. I was my experience that with the Monojects I was inadvertently giving a larger dose than planned. Unless you have a "perfect" Monoject, insulin can "hide" in the cone and add to your dose. Check out my drawing of a "perfect" Monoject:

The Terumos take a bit of getting used to, but they are easier to measure, especially if you use the digital calipers.

Come on down, PurrFace!!

Enjoy the evening, guys,

Ella & Rusty

p.s. I posted a pic of our greenhouse-in-progress in Rusty's condo after you had visited today.

Well it's been a stinky pinky AM cycle for PurrFace. I have my fingers, toes, legs, eyes and both hairs on my head crossed that he heads toward the Lagoon tonight.

Thank you Ella & Josie for your visit today. Ella thank you for the diagram of and info on the MONOJET. Your green house looks awesome.

Re: 09/15 PurrFace PMPS 329

Hi John :-D

Well, come on down PurrFace - the blues are much better!

Good luck too with the syringe thing. I hope you guys can agree on one you like :-D , and I agree it needs to be the same. I always used the monojets, despite the issues some people have with them. Ella is correct on what she says. I just adjusted visually when I knew I had questionable syringe. Anyways - hope it works out ok for both you guys.

I hope your day today has been a good one.

Re: 09/15 PurrFace PMPS 329

Oh yes....when I measured the volume in the same dose of insulin in the MJs vs the Terumos, the MJs had so out .5u more in them for the reason Ella showed. So no wonder PFs numbers might be a little wonky.

I'd toss the MJs. They are very inaccurate.

Paws crossed for better numbers soon. Hope all is ok there.
