I hope I'm doing the right thing by increasing Jackson's dose this morning. It was planned, but.. I tested at +10.5 (90 minutes before his shot) and he was at 395 and so he came down 60 points by AMPS.
He stole a piece of bagel from my dinner last night. It was in my hand, but he's quicker than I am sometimes. About 4 days ago, I was eating a slice of pizza and he tried to grab it out of my hand, but I held on that time.
As always this morning, he happily ate all his breakfast and licked his bowl clean, and then went to Sabrina's to make sure her bowl was licked clean too. And then I hear all this noise in the kitchen, and he jumped up to the sink and was hunched over the edge trying to lick clean the empty cans of cat food that were soaking in water to be rinsed and put in the recycling later.

I'm guessing that +4.25 was a bad test?
Did you get a big enough blood drop by any chance? Once I freaked out posting here that Moonie was dying because I got something like 500+ all of a sudden... turns out that sometimes meters won't give an error message, just an erroneously high reading.

The other unfortunate thing I've learned is that with larger numbers the 15-20% variance creates much bigger fluctuations.

So hopefully just a blip!

He's very good with his hands. After I eat my lunch, I leave a bit of the meat on my lunch plate and place it on the coffee table. He has been waiting for that moment. From sitting on the floor he reaches up and paws each bite towards him. Today I had carrots and peanut butter so he wasn't interested today. This morning I watched him when he was in the sink and the cat food can had turned upside down and pawed it right side up.
He's getting his first level 1 cat treat puzzle for his Birthday next week.
And today, I should be receiving an XXL level 2 dog treat puzzle which will be saved for him for Christmas. I hope he likes them. I think he will.

I didn't know that was "a thing". I knew to test again if you got an unusually low BG, but didn't know it also happened when you got a weird high BG. I have wondered though.

❤️ I really like your narratives about him.
