WCR: All is good, except her #s are starting to creep up there I'm noticing. I'm not sure if it's because she senses my stress with regards to Shadow, or the experiment isn't working as well as I thought/hoped it would, or both, or neither. Right now, I don't know anymore on what to do. I know that I have a lot on my plate with regards to Shadow, though. Trying to make her as comfortable as possible outside is challenging, to say the least.
Off Topic: Shadow - Is, for the most part, doing ok. Her balance is definitely off, and I've made up my mind to switch from our old vet to the one that took care of her. He may be a bit more expensive, but he seems to care more about animals than the one across the street. Plus, his clinic doesn't smell of urine, etc., like the other does. I think Shadow was hissing and growling because of the stench over there. No amount of antiseptic cleanser will ever erase that smell. When we visited the new vet's clinic, she was extremely quiet; didn't fuss when he looked at her teeth... No growling... No hissing. Nothing.
Yesterday afternoon at 4:30 I called the vet to find out if they had the pathology report, and they said no. This morning, I called them at around 8:15 in case the report came in overnight (knew it wouldn't but wanted to know just the same), and again was told no. I told the receptionist that I was going to cancel my appointment as it's not really important right now.
And so the waiting continues...
In the meantime, I've tried to make Shadow as comfortable as possible with her being an outdoor kitty. She's had some food this morning (a bit less than I'd like), and I've set up a litter box (low sides for her to easily manage) with some litter of course, her water is on the porch so that she doesn't have to climb my chair to get to the top of her box for it. And since she laid under a "bbq" of sorts (handmade by DH), I used 2 pieces of material threaded through the legs (DH works in a steel warehouse, and was able to get scraps a long time ago to make this) so that she doesn't fall between the porch and the house, and potentially injure herself further. The last time I saw her, she was under the front steps where she likes to lay. It's shaded... has some sort of air flow, and it's close to home, too. She's been frequenting DH's storage shed, and he doesn't want her in there, but she has managed to get in there despite his attempts at blocking the door that he had cut out for her. I removed the blockade so that she could easily come and go without having to duck and squeeze under the door, and hurt herself. Don't need those sutures coming out.
Well, that's it in a nutshell for now. I pray each day for a miracle for my little Shadow. I just want her to come out of this, become healthy again, and hopefully return to as normal as possible. She doesn't deserve this. Nobody does. I want my Shadow back.

MY WISH: For God to help heal the broken hearts of those who lost a beloved pet and/or human... For God to help those ailing make a full and speedy recovery... For everyone to have great #s... For everyone to be OTJ.
