09/11 Eddie AMPS 339 +3 313 PMPS 227 +3 407

Get any tests in the PM cycle last night other than PMPS? I hope he breaks that bounce soon.

I'd save 0.5 unit increases for doses that are already showing greens, but you want to tweak it to be a little better. Otherwise, at Eddie's size of dose, think of increases as a percent of the total dose. Something in the 10-15% range. At this point it could be 1 unit, but at 20 units dose it becomes 2 units.

Yes, got PMPS +3 443. Sorry, sometimes I update the thread with the numbers and don't enter the SS.

And, thanks for the dose increase reminder. Am I to understand that if we are still up there by AMPS tomorrow that a 1.0u increase is appropriate?
 
Today is cycle 13 on this dose. Typically we don't hold the dose that long with nothing but yellow nadirs - would hold six cycles max when following TR. The complicating factor is the low blues you saw. We don't know if that's from the 16 units dose, or something happened while you were gone. Maybe didn't eat? Dose not drawn correctly? Who knows and not worth worrying about. Today is cycle six after those blues, any bounce should be over. Where he lands after that (blues or not), he would be due an increase unless he goes low tonight.

I take your point about the "who knows and not worth worrying about". Tonight, though, PMPS 227 after all that? I'll keep an eye on him, for sure since he seems to have his own agenda.

Bouncing in response to however low he got during the day. With Levemir cats, you need to try to get into the habit of getting a test later in the cycle when you can. Especially if you think it might be a bounce breaker. AM +3 told you he was just starting down.

Yes, I see he was starting down because PMPS was 227; but then he doubled that by PM +3, which I then read as on his way up again.

So, that's what I don't understand about Levemir. This morning we're back up high again so I have increased...I hope I did the right thing.
