I think he is feeling better. Woke up to him sleeping ON me this morning purring his little heart out. That is always a good sign. He was under feet when preparing his feeder. Talking to me. Will know better in a couple of hours but looking good right now.

Prayers for Florida.

I checked Diamondback and they don't carry it. I need to get some if I can get an prescription. I may have to just order the next box via my vet for home delivery (they have set up the petdesk app to fill these needs).
 
I'm glad Gizmo is feeling better. Hope the improvement continues.

Are things starting to dry out a little bit? Hope you came through everything okay.

Sorry, I'm not much help with the Cerenia. I always got it from the vet. You might check Costco. You don't have to belong to get prescriptions there.
 
Glad Gizmo is starting to feel better. I love it when they sleep on you. My Gizmo doesn't sleep when everyone else in the house sleeps. :rolleyes: But Daisy always joins us and most of the time will sleep on me. :)
 
Glad to hear Gizmo is feeling better, yes prayers for all in Florida. My friend's staying put in Venice which is an island just south of Sarasota with 2 dogs and a cat, so sad she is putting herself and her pets in danger.
 
Glad he is feeling better. If you have a Costco, check out there prices, they are always the cheapest and or Walmart.

He is barely getting into the greens just like Bubba is doing right now. Have you thought of fattening the dose a bit?

Any advise on pilling with a capsule? I have never done a cap with him. I am going to put the 1/4 tab of Cerenia in a partially empty Canna (it is a size 5). I know to butter it up - do I just drop it in the back of his throat like the pills and then drizzle in a bit of water to get him to swallow?

That is how I have done it in the past. Good luck. :bighug:
 
Experiment with an empty capsule first. Butter it up, then see how long it takes for the capsule to disintegrate. Then you will know how long a window you have to work with.

Just a drizzle of water shot into the side of the mouth, not straight down the throat. You just need the cat to swallow.

Maybe. It could be the Canna too. Just haven't noticed the Canna having this big of an impact. The only thing "new" is the Cerenia.

He is floor hunting big time and just acts like he is starving even right after he has eaten.

Not complaining, very thankful he is eating. :)
