Are you taking away the kibble only 2 hours before the shot but they have access to it for the rest of the time? If she is eating HC kibble, that's one of the reasons her numbers are higher. Cutting out the high carb food can make a big difference to her numbers. It might take a few days for it to reflect in her numbers.

I didn't initially.
Now I take it away 3 hours before during day and take all away except for the lc kibble out at night.
I am slowly decreasing any kibble and putting out more moist, morning and evening-- slowly. I have been reading the blog on switching them over to just moist. It seems to take forever.

I have one cat--Snickers, who is my resistive one. So, he would be the last to get onto moist------it seems like a long journey.---but I will get there. He is very active---he is a hoot in the morning as he rips through the house. I worry as he may only weigh about 6-7 lbs--and that may be generous.--he is 6yo
 
I’d invest in a digital baby scale. You can get one fir about $40-50 on Amazon. The price goes up and down. That way no more guessing on weight. That’s awfully low weight fur a make cat let alone a female. I just saw my vet yesterday and he said 7 would be too little for my cats.

To take him to a vet----I would have to sedate him. he used to be a feral kitty that came inside and never left. but he is a one person luvvy-duvvy...
 
No. You dint need to pick up food except two hours before shots. Eating small amounts often helps many cats regulate. You might want to try feeding most of the food the first half of the cycle and see if that makes a difference. Every cat is different. Kibble stays in the system longer than wet food.
