Yay blue! It looks like it wasn't a fur shot after all. :-D I guess she likes this new dose. Thanks for the well wishes that is wasn't a fur shot everyone.

+5.5=222 Wrong way Furball. She was snacking on some leftover food earlier, so I am hoping this is just a food spike.

Hmmm. Now I am wondering if I did give a fur shot this morning after all. Maybe Furball was on her way down anyway (+3) and now she is going up so much because of the fur shot. Very strange cycle.

It's never fun trying to figure out the why's of higher numbers.
Furshots are always a bummer.
This too will pass.

Roni's right though as I bet some did get in Furball! Fingers and paws crossed for Furball. I did quite a few furshots in the beginning, and most of the time some juice did get in, especially if you didn't feel it on the fur. Have a nice Saturday, your day off, right!

Still high at PMPS. Hopefully she'll come down now that I know I got a good shot this evening.

Ann, yes I have the weekends off, so I can get extra tests in.

ETA: I can't read my own handwriting. I put the test strip in the meter to get Furball's +2.5 and 331 popped up. Her PMPS is 331, not 381. Her +2.5 is 299. She's coming down.

Oh, the dreaded furshot! I have given 2 in succession more than once and Rusty always recovered, so dont worry. They are annoying and inevitable.

I think you are right, Carla.....she thought about onsetting and then said "but....where's the juice?" :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

We all do it.....it's hard to not give the occasional fur shot. Have you tried the roll method instead of the tent method? I find it helps minimize fur shots.

I pick up Gracie's hair and skin in my left hand (I'm right handed) and then I roll my hand towards her head so that it parts the fur and I SEE the skin. That way I know I am injecting into skin and not fur. Of course, even if you do it perfectly but the kitty hears a scary noise or something and jumps...well nothing you can do about that but wait it out.

I thought I had a little incident this morning, too, with the dose....you never know how much you actually get in them.

Marje, I have not heard of the roll method. I will have to try that out. It is hard to make sure I'm not hitting just fur with her long hair. Thanks.
 
I think I need more sleep. I just realized I was adding today's extra tests to Friday on Furball's SS. Sorry if I confused anyone. Her SS is now corrected and updated.
