Yesterday's Condo

I was supposed to have today off. At 6:00am my cell phone alarm woke me for AMPS. At 6:10am, my phone rang again and it was my boss wanting me to get to work A.S.A.P., like 7:00am, to cover for someone (In Another Department) who was sick. So, I shot, fed, showered and went directly to work. I did get to come home for 2 hours in the middle of the day for the appointment I had (that's why I wanted the day off). J.D. was 371 at +7 this afternoon. Then I went back to work. I returned home at PMPS + 18 minutes and just gave J.D. his shot and fed him. I am exhausted. A person that works this hard, should make more money!
I'll stop whining now.

J.D. ate his 1st dinner and is currently outside on the porch.

Re: 09/07 J.D. AMPS 191, PMPS 369

i'm reminded of the book Alexander and the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day - do you know it? i'm totally not making fun of you either - you can't always tell online - but some days just are like that. you get to breathe a sigh of relief when they end and be glad you don't have to repeat that day again! the best thing about them is when they are over!

i hope your evening is wonderful and relaxing, that JD will come and cuddle a bit with you, and that tomorrow is a whole lot better than today.

:YMHUG:

Re: 09/07 J.D. AMPS 191, PMPS 369

Dyana, I feel ya!!! Completely, totally get it!!! I feel like I work ALL THE TIME, and yet the paycheck sure doesn't show it!! If I liked my job, it might make it easier to take!!

I hope tomorrow is better for you!!

Re: 09/07 J.D. AMPS 191, PMPS 369

You mean, tomorrow might be better?

My boss did tell me I was "A Saint", today, and said "Bless You" to me, so at least he showed some appreciation.

J.D. and Ginger and I all shared some steak for dinner :-D
I have to try to stay possitive. J.D show me some good numbers!

Yeah, If I had my ultimate job, I would be training horses for poor (not greedy) people and making booku bucks

Re: 09/07 J.D. AMPS 191, PMPS 369

Oh Dyana. That really stinks. It would be nice if we could win the lottery. JD had great AMPS. Hope he comes down for you tonight! Get some rest!

Re: 09/07 J.D. AMPS 191, PMPS 369, +2.5 295, +7 29!!!!!!!!!!

OMG :o I just happened to wake up.
I tested again and a minute later he was 30.
I just gave him a teaspoon of HC.
He seemed to be wobbling a little, but that just may be the way he jumped down from the couch a little wobblily.
He didn't even tell me he was hungry.

What do I shoot tomorrow?

Re: 09/07 J.D. PMPS 369, +2.5 295, +7 29, +7.25 42 Eyes Plea

I just gave him another 1/4 can (I found out one of my teaspoons equal 1/4 can  ) of HC. He LOVES it!
There is a terrible thunder storm happening outside. OMG, what a way to wake up!

Re: 09/07 J.D. PMPS 369, +2.5 295, +7 29, +7.25 42 Eyes Plea

you're doing fine, dyana - exactly right.

lather, rinse, repeat. test him again in 20 minutes. don't worry about your morning dose just yet.

Re: 09/07 J.D. PMPS 369, +2.5 295, +7 29, +7.25 42 Eyes Plea

Julie, Thanks for being here for me in the middle of the night!
I was going to post that the 295 was a pretty big (yeah right) at +2.5 since he had already ate 2 dinners and a bunch of steak and some chicken treats, but not that much.

I only have one can of HC left in my emergency kit. I better buy more on the way home from work tomorrow.
I don't if I'll be able to go back to sleep after this one.

((((dyana)))) it's always easier with a buddy when things get spooky! :YMHUG: even if you have a ton more experience than me!

still, i understand.

that must've been kinda startling! good boy that he woke you up - did he come climb in bed with you, or did the storm wake you?

it's only 10:33 here - we're watching Simon & Garfunkle on some PBS telethon thing. memory lane with these songs!

Re: 09/07 J.D. PMPS 369, +2.5 295, +7 29, +7.25 42 Eyes Plea

Hey Dyana....all ok...I see he's coming up. You certainly know the drill but that must have been really scary. Gracie did the exact same thing to me the other day but during the day.

JD just wanted to get your attention and get a dosecrease!! Good luck on the reduction.

You're gonna be one tired puppy at work tomorrow!! Unless they gave you the day off for working today (hope so).

Re: 09/07 J.D. PMPS 369, +2.5 295, +7 29, +7.25 42 Eyes Plea

heehee yeah, usually it's marjorie, ann, michelle & me on the night shift in Lantus Land! i usually head for bed around 11:30.

often i see you coming on just as i'm going to bed if i've had to stay up a little late for the punkin. between all the time zones we pretty much have someone on all the time, don't we? it's a good thing.

I just fixed my + plus times. I forgot I got home from work late tonight (I mean last night).

I know I know what to do. I just have only seen the 20s (on J.D.) maybe twice before.
And he didn't wake me up. He was asleep. I have been waking up at about +7 lately to do the middle of the night test.
It's almost 2:00am, here. Ate 1:00am, I told him, "Okay, J.D., one more test, then we can go back to bed". Not happening, now.

I just fed him some LC, and he ate it (I had to get up and check, because he wasn't as interested in it, as he was the HC).
He's waiting on the rug by the kitchen sink, waiting for the shrimp I just took out to thaw, for him. :-D

 marjorie!

 dyana - he wants his shrimp. maybe he woke you up with psychic vibes - he knew something was up and he was sending you an SOS in his sleep!

punkin hasn't hit 20's - i got a 32 in the first week or so of hometesting. made me  pay attention!

I'm from California. My dad called me from California at 8:30pm EST the other day, and woke me up   It was only 5:30pm his time, and I think he was a little surprised.
With most of my testing (although it hasn't been as much lately) in the middle of the night, I tend to try hard to go to sleep as early as possible in order to get my 8 hours in. So, I got 4 hours of sleep tonight so far, and have to get up in 3.
I'm too old for this. Simon and Garfunkle, huh? I watch The Animal Planet pretty much all the time when I'm home.

oh really? what part? i was born in Fresno, although we moved to oregon when i was in 6th grade. oregon mostly feels like home, but there is something about that california air . . . when i pass mt shasta there is a quality to the light or the air or something that REALLY says home. that and my wild oregon hair loses its frizz - i love my california hair. :-D

JD is looking better now! how about you? you doing ok?

J.D. has been diabetic a long time, but I've only been testing since 2008, when I joined FDMB.
I just never thought with the 371 yesterday at +7, and the 369 at PMPS that he would do this.
Man O Man, is he going to bounce from this. Sometimes, I wish I could delay the reduction until like 2 or 3 cycles later, instead of just 1 cycle, as he tends to have delayed bounces (he waits a full day, sometimes to go to the roof). Oh well.

yeah, usually with a pmps of 369 you don't expect to have a 29 anywhere in the cycle!! the good thing is that you know what's happening, so when he skyrockets you won't be surprised!

if you're doing ok, i'm going to head for bed. if you'd like some company, i'm happy to stay up with you. what do you think?

OMG. I washed my hair at my dad's house this summer and it was shiney and straight and silky! Not frizzy and hay like and curling every which way but the way I want it to.

I am sooooooooo glad the summer is over here in New Jersey. Bad hair day everyday, no matter what you do, 15 seconds later the humidity destroys it. I almost stop looking in mirrors, during the summer months.

I was born in Oakland and grew up in Walnut Creek. We used to go to Mount Shasta on vacations. And Mount Lasson, once. That mountain is awesome. Walnut Creek is on the foothills of Mount Diablo. Mount Diablo was my playground.

My sister lives in Portland, Oregon, with her children. She loves it.

Time to test, and then I'm going to have a glass of wine.

heehee a little glass of wine for the middle of the night!

my hair is dramatically different in california. if only i could import that hair here, i'd be content.

portland is awesome - i lived there 3 years after i got out of college. busy place! when i moved here to corvallis i thought i'd fallen off the planet. this is a bit of a hippie throw- back town and everything was in slo-mo!!!

i'm gonna head for bed! hope you get another little bit of sleep tonight so you can function tomorrow!

good night, dyana! scritches to JD! SO glad you woke up tonight!

Thanks Julie! Good night and sweet dreams. I just did a Google search of Simon and Garfunkel and am playing Feeling Groovy. I used to sing that song while riding my horses on Mt. Diablo :-D

Thanks for staying up with me and talking.
I decided on a glass of milk, and am hitting the hay myself.

Good Night WEST COAST GIRLS!!!
