Last Night:
442 PMPS (2 drops R)
230 +3.5
151 +6.5

I really didn't want to give R this morning. I really wanted to not give it. I really wanted to see what he does with the dose increase without the R, but when I saw the 433 I gave him 1 drop.

There were two solid poos in the litter box this morning so I'm sure one of them was J.D.'s. He usually poos in the front of the box and it is usually a bigger present. Ginger's would be the one in the back of the box and the stinky one, smaller in size, and wetter (but still formed).

I just gave J.D. some MC because I am trying something different because I promised Dian I would try it today and try to stop his drop.
Although, it's not going to help much if he drops and I'm at work  I have another 6 day work week coming up, and then two weeks from now, I finally get a 3 day weekend.

The weather is absolutely lovely, and both cats have had some outdoor time and a couple of walks. J.D. does seem to get lost sometimes though when he's out there and can't see me (or maybe it's hear me, I'm not sure which). He does have a homing instinct (and since I normally (but not always) carry him to where we're headed and then set him on the ground) and heads right to his safe deck and his beloved watering can.

Ginger was absolutely mad to get outside this morning and was going crazy and it wasn't even light out yet. There is a cat named Sylvester whom I've written about before, that is let out at 3:00am and he at one time lived two doors down from us. He now lives around the corner from us, but comes into our courtyard often, and I'm not sure if Ginger is in love with him or is afraid of him, but she can't wait to get out there to see if he is there.

Ginger does this sweet thing and has done it 3 times so far today, and I promised her I would go walking with her, now, so I have to go in a second. She comes into the house and walks up to me and meows (a purrish meow), and then trots to the door and waits for me. The door is open and she can go outside by herself, but she wants me to go with her, to go for a walk. I'll make her wait another few moments and test J.D. and then we'll all go out for another walk

Keeping Charlie in my Prayers, and sending hugs to Barbara, and sending healing vines to everyone who needs them.

Of course Ginger wants you to go with her! :-D :-D Detective Poo is glad to see solid poo from J.D. And great numbers too. Get on your surfboard, buddy!

Hi Dyana. It's so nice to see J.D. work his way to the Lagoon. I hope he has his surfing suit on.

Have a great day Dyana.

Re: 09/07 J.D. PMPS 274 - Diarrhea again

He went up to 127 at +7.25 and 283 at +9, so I gave him a drop of R then.

Diarrhea again :(
Do you know if I can give him some Flagyl, or do I have to wait to talk to the vet on Monday?

He had stinky stinky stinky somewhat formed poo about a half hour ago (PMPS time). He had been hanging around the litter box with his butt off the pee pads, so I knudged him gently with my foot and he got inside the box and had somewhat formed wet poo over the side (onto the pee pad) down the side (inside of the box) and some inside the litter box (onto the gravel). Then 15 minutes later he came back and gave me a big prezzie pile of even more stinky wet poo on the fresh pee pad I just put down. I am going through these pee pads like crazy lately.

He doesn't want to eat right now. I just gave him some Ondansetron and Pepcid.

I want J.D. to feel better and his poos to be perfect again.

Detective Poo making a return visit and sending more vines. We have washable pee pads. We were doing a load of laundry of pee pads every day for a while.

Re: 09/07 J.D. PMPS 274 - Diarrhea again

Where did you get washable pee pads? I am buying them 50 at a time and using at least 2 a day (mostly almost made it to the litter box (or should I say almost made it in the litter box)) He often stands and is inside with his feet, he just shoots over the side.

Re: 09/07 J.D. PMPS 274 - Diarrhea again

Hi Dyana,
Have you tried using newspaper instead of pee pads? You can put down a few layers and then just remove or tear off the top one or two layers.

Hope that J.D. Will get back to his normal poops soon.

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Re: 09/07 J.D. PMPS 274 - Diarrhea again

Thanks Ella, but mostly the pee pads are for him standing up in his box and peeing right over the side, or sometimes he will get only 3 legs inside the box  and pee over the side. I just saw him get in the box and squat and pee and told him what a good boy he was  I have wall to wall carpeting and I think the pee pads protect the carpet well and are working out pretty good.

Re: 09/07 J.D. PMPS 274 - Diarrhea again

Hooray for hitting the box!!! Sending solid poo and good appy vines for J.D..

J.D. ate some warmed up baby food with FortiFlora at about +0.5, and then I went grocery shopping and when I got home he shared a 1/2 can of FF with FortiFlora with Ginger at +2.5, and just now at +3.5 he shared some steak with me (steak stops him up a bit I think).
I need to go to sleep because we have an early work shift tomorrow. The shift I am covering is more umm public (people come around my desk more) and I think I'll tell them I have a tummy ache, if J.D. smells. :)

Night, LLand. :-|

Here is where we got the washable piddle pads for Zener. It says for dogs, but we didn't tell Zener that little detail. ;-) We order the small size, and it fits perfectly in front of the litter box. We even put piddle pads in the litter box when Zener was not able to balance well in the litter and wouldn't go in the box. He would go in with a piddle pad in place of litter and did just fine. It sure made getting urine for ketone testing easy.

Once the pads are piddled on, we soak them in a bucket of vinegar and water, then wash them in the washer with a capful of vinegar plus a small amount of detergent. No smell, well, at least not to us. We have used some of them for two years and they are still working fine.

Awww, poor J.D. tummy! I hope he starts feeling better soon. He did have some pretty numbers earlier today. Would be awfully nice if you slid back into them, J.D. Glad he ate a little and glad he actually got in the LB...well, most of him. I, too, have wall to wall carpeting and I put down a folded towel in front of her LB. It's mostly there to help catch loose litter she flings out and as she steps out. But I figured, thrift stores have them cheap, cheap...so why not! Sending firmer-poo vines and feel-better-tummy vines to J.D.
