I have a few minutes to post.
J.D. seemed a little out of it at AMPS. I went back to sleep and woke up at +3 and he was fine and the food bowl was empty (but of course I don't know if he ate any of it, as Ginger could have eaten it all). He did eat a few bites of MC FF Medleys.
J.D. had two grape sized poos yesterday (not hard), and on poo that was the size of two grapes this morning (again not hard, and feeling heavy and concentrated). I gave him 1/16th of Benefiber this morning, and another tonight. We have been on 4 walks.
I left a message for the IM vet this morning regarding the Zantac Peppermint Syrup. Her assistant called me back and said that she can get a compounding pharmacy to send me some that is Chicken Flavored, instead. She said that I would receive an email from the compounding pharmacy to give them my credit card. I also told her that I had other questions for Dr. B the IM vet and she said that she would have her call me.
As always, I waited patiently by the phone and ran back in the house if I accidently left my phone in the house when we were outside on a walk. I waited until 4:57pm, and finally called them back again and was told that the doctor was still in an appointment and would call me back.
When the doctor called me back she said the assistant was working on the Zantac (still no email).
I described J.D.'s poos and she said I shouldn't be concerned. I asked her if she agree with my regular vet about stopping the Flagyl and she agreed. I told her that I have always used Flagyl in the past as needed for diarrhea and one dose stops J.D. right up, and he has been on it now since August 11th. I am waiting for normal poos.
I asked her if she received the CBC from my regular vet and she said they had not. I told her about J.D.'s RBC and she asked what the HCT was and said that she is not concerned, that it is mild and fine.
I asked her about the >2000 Cobalamin test and she said "Don't worry about it."
I told her about how J.D.'s WBC count goes into range when he is on Orbax or Baytril and slightly high when he is not. I asked her if she still wants me to stop the Baytril and Flagyl, and she said "yes."
I told her about how J.D. was acting off this morning and should I give fluids every day, and she said "I would stay with the every other day."
I asked her about how I give Cerenia for 8 days and go off for 2 days, and she said to give it for 5 days and then take 2 days off.
I asked her when she thought we should recheck his blood work and she said in one month.
J.D. got Slippery Elm Bark at +11.25 and I didn't give him any supplements until +1.25. I hope that is the time frame I am supposed to wait. I should have been giving him SEB all this time while I could while on "vacation" but I didn't think of it until now
J.D. ate a little FF Cod, Sole, and Shrimp at PMPS
He has had two feedings, and his 100ml of fluids.
Bean Report: I'm eating string beans and potatoes and carrots and onions and ham hocks. :-| I called my Dad last night to see if he remembered my Brother's Birthday yesterday and he forgot :? I asked him how to cook the green beans that my DBF brought over and he told me to boil the ham hocks and then add the vegetables. I'm eating it, but lets just say I did not inherit my Dad's taste for Southern Cooking.
That's about it. I've been spending my last day off searching and reading the internet on constipation, head tilts, Ranitidine, and what not. Tomorrow, starts a 6 days work week. UG!
Time for J.D.'s 3rd feeding, and then bed.
