At least 3 P's in place... Not sure if I heard purring this morning or not. Another day of being bitten, though, after the shot was given (thankfully it wasn't during... hate those). So, bean's nursing yet another war wound. She's not normally like that, but I may have hit a sensitive spot. Put some ointment on her ear that's been poked, and may switch to the other one. It's currently 7:25 a.m. as I type this, and normally she comes in to start bugging me before her feeding time. I think she's trying to remind me to not forget when she seeks me out 1/2 hour or so ahead of time. :lol:

Neg. ketones (test taken yesterday).

The hummingbirds are still around, but I only see about 5. So, made more nectar, and will get the feeders filled up.

Pulled the only remaining steak out of the freezer yesterday morning, and have got that marinated this morning. I've put it in extra virgin olive oil, and put some salt and pepper in the oil. Will be marinating that for about 11 hours, and cooking that on the George Forman grill, since I don't have an outdoor grill. That's dinner tonight. Tomorrow's dinner will be consisting of pasta shells, hamburger, mixed veggies, and homemade cheese sauce mixed into it, along with some spices, of course.

It's cooled down quite a lot, and it's very windy. (Blackie just walked in to bug me LOL at 7:31. She's slow today. :lol: She let out one meow, and walked away. I'm going to take that as a reminder that it's almost time. :lol: )

There was a fire just south of us in Ellis county. Thankfully, the winds are coming from the north, however, I really wish that people aren't negligent around here. About 2 weeks ago, or so, there was a fire that was in our neighborhood. I smelled smoke, but couldn't pinpoint the location, otherwise I would've been on the phone to the fire department. I've already called on someone earlier this year when the burn bans were first put out.

What a great morning for Blackie!

Our weather cooled down after the Texas heat you sent up this way. We were in the 50s over night and will be in the 70s today.

And we've had our :mrgreen: s since +2 (possibly earlier than that if the bean decided to poke her then :lol: ... but then again, possibly not, either *shrug*). All in all, she's doing beautifully so far today. :)

VEWY interesting..... I thought about testing her when I got back inside from my weekly visit with my neighbor, and I'm glad I did. :mrgreen: I still need to get 2 more tests (+9 and +10) to see where she's at, and get the pre-AMPS shots, too.

On another note, there's yet another wildfire in Texas... I think this is southeast of Austin in Bastrop County. Over 400 homes have been destroyed (more being threatened), and it's about 16 miles in length (I think). It has not been contained as of yet. This state does not need any more wildfires.

We have been hearing about the Texas hat, and the wildfires on the news these pat few days. Bastrop (SP?) made the headline today. It's all a little scary. I hope you guys are OK where you are.

Yeah, it's Bastrop, and they're very south of us. However, Ellis County and Navarro County have both had their fair share of wildfires, too. Ellis County is just south of us.
