Hubby tested last night. I had to go to bed. I was in bed and asleep before 8pm - lol. Gizmo gave him some nice greens for his effort :D. @Bobbie And Bubba I guess it was a bounce - very strange bounce but it looks like we are back on track!

Happy Caturday.

Are there any fund raising efforts for FDMB for our kitties that may be in need here in Texas? Is there any specific needs that someone knows of that I could possibly help with? @Chris & China do you know of any?

I have a little story about the flooding and rescues - there was an elderly couple being rescued along with their dog. She was in a a wheelchair and they moved her along with the wheelchair to the front of a flat bottom boat (a feat all by itself). I was so nervous about that because she is top heavy up there (trust me, I know - it is where I fish on our boat).

Well, the rescuers "walked" the boat out - one on either side and holding the chair which made me feel so much better. The reporter that was on the another boat was filming and had other rescuers helping and a couple of them kept saying "I hear a cat" "I hear a cat" - the fireman that were rescuing the couple - walked the boat and the elderly couple over to a tree where one climbed up and grabbed the cat and put it in the boat.

I don't think the cat belonged to the couple. But regardless, the cat was rescued! These first responders are awesome! All of them. God Bless them.

Glad that Gizmo is back on track! And yeah for sleep. :joyful:

What a great story that the elderly couple and a cat got rescued. On our local news they said that about 60 dogs were coming to our area from Texas for adoption. Also about the same to NJ . Nothing said about cats.

Glad you were able to catch up on some sleep last night. Hoping Gizmo slides slowly back to green for you today.

What a great story about the older lady and then cat rescue! What's been going on in Texas is just unbelievable. I saw one story about the animal rescue organization already on the ground in Houston. I've just drawn a mental blank, but I wonder if they're listed as one of the groups on the CNN/impact page?

Amazing seeing all the animals airlifted with their people, and very glad to see that the shelters have made sure they're welcome.

Sleep rules! :bighug:

Funny, my local rescue up here in Canada is taking some dogs from Houston area rescues that have been in shelter for some time to make room for those lost and rescued in the flood. No mention of cats here either. I must check with them about that! There must be kitties in need too!

What a great story! And happy that they rescued the kitty!
I saw on the news a few days ago a video of cars/trucks heading your way and every one of them was hauling a boat. Love it when they show a good news story like that!
