I thought I set my alarm for a nadir test, but I guess that didn't happen.

J.D. heard the 5:30am alarm go off and as I stirred to shut it off, he did his old man wailing meerrrrrrrooooooooows from the bedroom door while staring in at me.

For 1st Breffis, J.D. ate about 1/2 jar of baby food beef with broth and then ate some most of Ginger's uneaten 1st Breffis.
They are currently outside in this foggy morning. J.D. is on the deck (where he ate his breffis) and I have the deck light on because the skys are just starting to lighten.

As soon as the cats come in, I'm going btb.

Wishing Checkers a good day today, and sending healing vines to all that need them.

It sounds like J.D. wanted to make sure you got up this morning. I hope he surfs safely for you today. Enjoy your btb.

Re: 09/02 J.D. AMPS 109, +1.5 151, +4.75 51

J.D. ate the whole jar of baby food and ate most of two of Ginger's breffises by +1.5.
When I wanted to go btb, Ginger was hanging out in front of a bush outside and I felt like she had some prey there as she wouldn't even look at me when I called her name. I went out in my barefeet and walked in the mud to get her home. She had stuff hanging off her fur everywhere and from her lips. It was leaves and spider webs, I think. She might have been under the bushes or maybe under one of the decks. Anyway, after I brought her inside and tried to get back on the computer she started screaming and screaming and screaming to go back outside. I decided to get dressed more appropriately and take the cats for a walk. Once I was dressed, and looked around I couldn't fine either cat. I found J.D. hanging out in the linen closet and didn't find Ginger, so J.D. and I went for a walk. There were spider webs everywhere! As I said earlier it was foggy outside and very lightly misting and that must have made them show up. I think they may be there all the time but you just can't normally see them, and the teeny droplets of mist made them show up. There were regular big garden spider webs, and strings of webs going for trees to bushes, and hundreds of tiny webs on the grass and in the bushes. There were also these medium sized webs in the bushes, where there was something looking like a fine webbed trampoline (almost opaque) strung on the bottom and lots of irregular webbing making an upside down cone shape on top of the trampoline like thing. I also saw a bunch of squirrel babies playing on their tree, too young to be allowed out of the tree yet. And a large moth sitting on a tree that looked just like the bark. After I brought J.D. back, I found Ginger waiting at the sliding glass door, and so I put her on a leash and grabbed my camera, and Ginger and I took a walk around the courtyard and I snapped some pictures.

I got up at +4.5, and J.D. was just sleeping away. After I tested him, I gave him about 2 teaspoons of Great Choice Gourmet Tender Beef Feast and he ate most of it. He then ate another 2 teaspoons and cleaned Ginger's breakfast bowl. I just don't like that he wasn't eating until I got him up.

It's time to test again...

Hi Dyana,
Really nice numbers for J.D. today. The LagoonMeister says "surf safe"!

What a beautiful portrait in words of your early-morning garden. Those spider webs were in all their gossamer glory. Interesting about the opaque, trampoline/cone one. Could it be a tent caterpillar? (hopefully not!)

Enjoy the holiday,

Ella & Rusty

Thanks, Dian :-|
I know it's what J.D. does, but I always have this hope ;-)

Check you out in the 50's, J.D.!!! What a sweet mama for taking you and Ginger out for a walk when she would rather be back in bed! Happy Labor Day, Dyana!

Good Grief J.D, what was on the pink floor, so interesting? :o
Well, it started out a beautiful day, Dyana

I too, love the descriptions of the spider webs. I love early morning, when the grass is covered with them. Walking between trees/shrubs in the morning, I wave a stick up and down, so my face isn't the first thing that hits the webs. They're so pretty too.

I hope you're having a good day, Dyana

Thank you for remembering Checkers....He's having a very good day today. :-D

My concern is Dian, is what if he was going to earn a dosecrease and go below 40? That's what stops me. I pretty much only have one day a week to see how and what he does during the week while I'm at work. I woke him up (okay, well I just woke up from my btb too) at +4.75 to that 51. He wasn't eating himself. I just hate for him to go below 40 while I'm at work and not eat because he's busy sleeping and I missed it because I HC'd a 50 on my one day off. I hope you understand my concern

Now, since he's so high, I'm off to go grocery shopping.

And, he has stinky stinky soft (but formed) poo again. UG!

Re: 09/02 J.D. PMPS 380

I understand but what you are trying to do is bring him down slowly so he does not bounce. all you are doing is controlling how fast he drops. he would still get a dosecrease even though he is not going so low. do not know how to explain.

ech on stinky poo

I liked yesterday. That was his first day of flat numbers. If he can do it once, he can do it again ;-)

So, next Saturday, if he starts to dive, I'll try catch it and give him some MC. Is that what you're thinking?

yes. MC or HC. all you want to do is slow him down so he does not drop so fast and to keep him in safe levels. you are controlling the drop with food and THEN you can decrease. his damn liver is the most stubborn liver I have ever encountered
