NDW = new dose wonkiness. Sometimes a new dose can make a cat's numbers jump for a few days before they settle into it. It's confusing because it's hard to tell if the cat just doesn't take to the dose until you wait a couple of days. I may have to move Furball back to the 1.5 units. The last decrease she earned didn't take.

Good morning Carla and Furball. Oh, what a bump in your AMPS - Hope the dose starts working soon and you have a short NDW (I didn't know that acronym either! There is a sticky somewhere with the language used here ... it should be updated to include all these new acronyms that seem to have cropped up since it was created! I've been pretty confused too sometimes.)

+5.5=203 That's better. I hope she has good numbers for PMPS too.

Furball has a dental scheduled for Sept. 12. The vet wants me to give her antibiotics for 7 days before in case she has any infection. The AB she gave me is Antirobe Aquadrops. I am supposed to give 1 ml twice a day. Does anyone know anything about this AB? Thanks.

It's clindamycin. Here's the info about it.

My vet usually uses clindamycin after a dental. Using an AB before is usually up to the vet. Some vets do not like to prescribe an AB unless there is some apparent infection/inflammation.

LOoked like Furball was going much better!! A new dose needs 6 cycles=3 days to settle into your kitty, so just put on the patience pants & FB will come down...My vet also gave Moonie ab's before one of her dentals.. Never heard of yours, but it prevents infection & that's good--Have a good night-Hugs from us!! :mrgreen:
