DC did so good on the weekend, now he is back in the pink.
I'm guessing it's from the food DC stole from Frisky yesterday evening.
It was mostly wet, with some ground up EVO sprinkled on it and about 10 pieces of EVO in it.
This morning I put out plain wet for both of them. Of course Frisky didn't touch it, but DC ate Frisky's and not his own.
At least they were both the same this time. If Frisky doesn't eat any in a few hours, I will put him in the bedroom with a small amount of dry.
That way, at least DC can't get at it.

Re: 08/31 DC AMPS=301

Nothing is easy when you have two...LOL...your plan sounds great though.
I put out the two dishes and they always look over to see what the other one got. sigh. Then they eat a little out of the bowl that is in front of them for a minute and then they both switch to the other one's bowls!! It's musical bowls...Aren't they amusing?

Re: 08/31 DC AMPS=301

It's funny, isn't it? How kitties can see you serve everything from the same can, but they have to look to see what everyone else got? Maybe it's a combo of what and how much. Sounds like a good feeding plan for you guys. I hope it goes smoothly.

Other than the AMPS, DC coasted through the day in the yellow.
He also managed to steal some dry food mixed with the wet that I gave to Frisky. There was only about 10 pieces of EVO in it.
Frisky spent the entire day not eating anything. I tried to put some wet on my finger and wipe it on his mouth. He only wiped it off on the couch and didn't eat it.
I gave Frisky 1/8 cup of EVO before bed last night. He hasn't eaten anything since. He's very vocal about it. Cries at his bowl all day.
I took all the dry food down to the cold room so he can't smell it or see the container, but he still cries at his bowl.
I guess I will have to feed him a little dry before bed again tonight. I don't want him to starve and he won't drink any water when he doesn't eat either.
At least last night after I fed him he drank some water. Today he hasn't had water or food.
It's so sad listening to him cry. And every time I go into the kitchen he runs in crying and climbing all over me.
I'm not giving up though. I will keep trying. Tomorrow I will go to the store and buy some other flavors to try. I've tried dozens already, but there must be one that he'll eat.
I wish he would eat people food, at least then I could give him some chicken or something, but he won't eat that either.
The only people food he will eat is ice cream and plain white bread.
Tomorrow is a new day. Hopefully it will be better.

plain white bread? That's not very cat-like at all Frisky! I sympathize greatly with your food situation. I can't get Muffin to try any canned or raw food either yet. I felt a huge breakthrough was coming a day or two ago when she accidentally got a few pieces of Wellness Core dry in her mouth while licking the fortiflora off of them, and she actually ate them instead of spitting them out. I was so excited! At least it's better dry food! But since then....nothing. ohmygod_smile All we can do is keep trying.

This all sounds very familiar. The sad cries, the hope as they sniff the $2.20 can of food you just put down. The despair as they saunter off from the bowl and turn and at yell at you for dry food.

Honestly, I feel like I'm going to hex this just talking about it, but I've had more success with this than I ever dreamed possible with Weeble. She's never liked canned food. I've had her since she was 3 weeks. She always walked away from canned. But somehow I've gotten her to eat it. And the duck breast I pan fry for her. She's not all the way off the dry. And I got some MAJOR attitude about it today. Then some sad songs. It makes me really nervous--Weeble giveth, and Weeble can taketh away...). She finally graced me with a tablespoon snack of a second, fresher $2.20 can (as opposed to the 2-3 tablespoons of that morning's can).

In other words, I'm right there with you--Stay strong! Resist the sad songs and dirty looks--we will prevail!

Hi Noreen

what up DC? Why u being fussy-wussy huh? cat_pet_icon

I wonder if he just hasn't found the right wet food flavour? Have you tried any seafood ones?
I don't suggest it all the time, but you could top his regular food with a little bit of seafood.

Hoping today is a better day for u guys.
