Remember us? Sorry for not being around this past week. We hope all of you and your furbabies are well and safe and the hurricanes, tornadoes and tropical storms have passed you by and you're all safe.

I've been very busy taking my mom to doctor's appointments and we had a family friend pass away from cancer. He was a wonderful man and we miss him very much. He was also a public figure which has made mourning him a very odd experience, watching so many strangers grieve as well. But comforting he was so well loved.

It's been a tough week as I've caught a bad cold on top of it all, but hopefully things will be back to normal now. Tray is doing ok, I've bumped his insulin as his #'s haven't been great. Not sure if it's due to all the stress around him but we'll see. We did have some pukus this morning but he seems ok now.
 
Iorwen, I'm so sorry for the loss of your family friend. And to also be taking care of your mom, taking care of Tray, and taking care of yourself must be overwhelming. I hope you are feeling better soon and Tray may be reacting to everything going on around and will start seeing better numbers once things settle down.
 
That's a lovely blue for Tray this morning. I hope that he comes down for you some more today, and perhaps surf in da :mrgreen: s, too...? :-D

I pray that you make a full and speedy recovery from your cold. Can you, or have you, tried Zicam...? Or is it too late to take now? Summer colds are definitely no fun.

I've never heard of Zicam, what is that?

You've got a lot on your plate - be sure to take care of yourself, too!!!

Hi Iorwen, I was missing your condo and thought about your Mom. I'm so sorry about your friend, my condolences and vines go out to you and your family. How is your Mom doing? She is so lucky to have you nearby. My family is all spread far apart. Take care of that cold, too. Glad Tray is doing well and hope the extra juice will help bring his numbers down.

My Mom is doing much better, still some discomfort but she'll be having surgery to remove the kidney stones that caused the crisis in a few weeks so hopefully things will improve much more after that., Thanks for asking.

Hi Iorwen, glad to hear your Mom is doing much better, and I hope the surgery will help and give her more quality of life and health. Sending vines and prayers for her.

You asked Angela about Zicam above. It's an over the counter medicine that is supposed to help with colds, expedically the beginning stages. A lot of people swear by it. I think there are lozenges and pills. There was a problem with the Zicam spray, as I recall! I used Mucinex, an over the counter tablet for colds, and it helped rid all the phlegm and gunk of the cold. It's a pill taken every 12 hours. Colds can be so miserable, so hope you soon feel better.
 
Hi guys .. of course we remember you! Don't be silly .. it sounds like you have had a lot going on lately .. I can only hope your cold doesn't last long and that you get some much needed rest ...
