08/29 Booger AMPS 250 +6 206 New Food

Yesterday was interesting to say the least.. This morning none of my cats would eat all of their food. This seriously happened overnight... I dunno if it was just a bad batch or what. Either way, to Petsmart I went in search of something new.. with no by-products that didn't cost a small fortune. I walked away with Nutromax and Authority brands to try.. I added up the carbs in the cans and brought home a few flavors. I hope I'm not hurting them by getting these brands but seriously after what I found in the food I don't think it could be worse for them.. and after inspecting their "leftovers" this morning there was more.. so I'm done. Let's just hope they'll enjoy some of this new stuff. I can only fault myself.. as these objects are listed as the first ingredient in some of the cans.. but I'm paying attention now. So that aside, I'm hoping for a nutritious evening and for Booger to come down off the yellow floor.. Hope everyone has a great day!

Nutro is a good food, but most are LC or HC, I use it for Tess when she decides to go scuba diving. They are on Dr. Lisa's list but they have so many slight variations in the names that it cn be confusing. I do feed it to my civvies and they love it. I know a lot of beans feed Authority too. The Chicken, Sliced Chicken in Sauce, Lamb and Rice are 5% or lower and a few others just over. The fuds dance is a pain in the &^## !

Thanks Ann! There wasn't a big selection at Petsmart other than Friskies, FF, many other Purina Products, and several other brands that didn't appeal to the new "No by-product/rendered by-product" rule. So I decided to give these a try and I may experiment with a few more. I'll make sure I look back at her site at the ones I bought and make sure I added everything up right before I go feeding them to my diabetic kitty. I hadn't heard of Authority before but it was a decent price for the size of the cans so I'm hopeful they'll like it!
