I was just looking at my Gideon's ears in the sunlight. I thought we were keeping his ears in great condition, but they do not look that way to me. I see little red dots all along his ear veins, and they look like they would be sore. We do hold a cotton pad for 10 seconds after we test, and also apply Neosporin with pain relief. One more thing, Gideon was always so easy to test. Now he is flicking his ears around and it makes it so much more difficult. I usually poke him once and we are done, but the +3 today took me 4-5 times! He would not keep his head, nor his ears still! He also flicked his ears after I had the blood ready for the test stick, and I lost it a couple of times. I had two test sticks error out also. This doesn't usually happen. Any suggestions?
