Previous postI am pretty sure he is bouncing but can't find off of what! He is doing well otherwise though.. perky happy and no pee accidents for a while. If I wasn't so drained I would get up more to check on him.
Also today is Pikachus 12th birthday!! Last I posted (on Tiggys condo) I said how bad she was doing but we had an epiphany and have resolved some issues. She was falling over a lot and couldn't stay on her feet - we spent all day picking her up. The antibiotics weren't helping what we thought was an inner ear infection = but heres the thing - she had been on all sorts of antibiotics for months, and none of them made the slightest difference.
We started to wonder if her ear infection wasn't the issue. Long story short, we took her off and still no difference. She has has mild arthritis for a few years and so we are thinking it probably just has reached the stage she can't walk on the bad leg despite being on meds. So we have created this tunnel "habitrail" system that she can move around in and use the walls to lean against.
And she loves it! She runs around like she hasn't done for years! She is eating better and is cleaner and happier! I can't believe we didn't do it earlier. It's open on the top so we can see her, but it's essentially like a rabbit warren set up.. With food and water in there. Couldn't do the same for cats but it's heaven for a bunny! It's given her a new lease on life for now.. Although at 12 years she is very old.
