I had heck with air bubbles this morning. Finally shot with one and the a little "fat" relative to the calipers. I don't know if the is the air pressure that was messing with me but I tried 3 times - all three times I could not get rid of the bubbles.

So far so good, not much of anything happening. Little wind, little rain. South and east of us it getting more. We will get ours.

Happy Caturday!

I hate those air bubbles. I hope Gizmo heads down and surfs today.

Glad it's not bad yet. I hope the storm goes through quicker then they're predicting. Sending prayers.

How much rain are they now predicting for your area, I keep hearing 50", but that is hopefully south of you
25-40"

But it doesn't have to fall directly on us. Once the creeks, rivers and bayous are full water has no where to go. It can only drain so fast. Storm surge along the coast also impacts drainage.

So glad to hear that you are safe. I was thinking about you last night and wondering. I hope Harvey clears out soon.

The air bubbles is a very frustrating thing for sure. I wonder if it has something to do with the way each pen is pressurized because my last pen, every singe draw was frustrating and I had to do the same as you and retry several times. My current pen has been smooth sailing. What does really help is to draw realllllly slowly.

Gizmo is on the move! Maybe the fat dose.

I usually can get them out but not this morning. No way, now how. I haven't had any issues using the pen until this morning.

Maybe the fat dose
It wasn't that fat. Only a small drop to compensate for the bubble. Lord help me if we lose power and I have to try and draw in the dark using a flashlight.:joyful:

The first time Furball ever gave me a low green number we didn't have any power. It was no fun trying to see by flashlight and candlelight. The headlamp I bought to help me see the blood drop on her dark ear works great if there isn't any power. I know that won't help you now, but it can't hurt to get one for any future power outages. I hope you don't lose power. Sending prayers.

PMPS=144 (hacked up a small hair ball about 5 min before PS)

History:
AMPS=150, +2=82, +3.5=78, +5.5=101, +11=125

We are sitting in between bands and have been most of the afternoon so haven't gotten any more than a drizzel - count is 4.77" from 4am (rain actually started around 6am). It just started raining real good again at shot time. The rain we are getting now has some wind to it too. Tonight should be interesting.

Stay safe Lizzie, glad you got through PMPS so you don't have to worry about shooting in the dark.

The eating more is going good. He is still acting like he is hungry but seems more content in between feeding. Like just now when he finished (in record time), I went to look at his bowl to make sure and he followed me over there meowing - so IDK. Kinda strange to have him hungry after fighting him eating. He is finishing every meal/snack without a beat.

Tomorrow is weigh in day! I am excited to see if he has gained any. He is currently getting ~8oz/food per day.

We ran out and checked the creek and river earlier and ran up to the grocery store (cause we were bored - lol). I will post a picture - but river wasn't outside it banks yet (but high).

Thanks. AM is only time I will have to worry about dark. I shoot @ 4:30a.

This is Spring Creek. About 4 miles north of us.

It is usually shallow enough to walk across.

Even with glasses, my eyes aren't what they used to be, so I had to get a magnifying headset (with light, thank goodness!) that works a treat for drawing those 0.25 and 0.75 doses. Don't have a caliper yet...

I also despise air bubbles! Couldn't get rid of one this morning so used a new syringe. Aargh!

I've been thinking about you and wondering how you were going in Texas. It looks really, really awful. Stay safe...and let us know how you go, okay? :bighug::bighug:

I hope your power stays on and you don't get a lot more rain. Nice cycle for Gizmo today.
Thanks Carla. As long as we don't loose power I will be happy.

Current rain fall total for the day is 5.25" When it rains it comes down in buckets!

I have similar. The light on mine isn't great but it gets the job done. I love the fact that it frees up both hands. I had no issues tonight with air bubbles. I don't know what was going on this morning. 3 draws with three different syringes and just couldn't get the bubbles out.

We are ok here. So far, so good, all things considering :bighug:
