Hello, I have upping Woody's dosing up a bit for the last while, as his numbers are climbing again ( with no change to diet or anything else )

-- I have been studying SS's of other members --- Noticing, with a bunch of them their kitties #'s are the same as Woody's higher but the insulin doses are much lower than what I am dosing Woody at -- so, I am confused -- as an example I studied "Karamelle's" https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...mD5SMVQ2BuKXAX2uI&gid=361360320#gid=361360320 --- SS and it really looks similar to Woody's ups/ downs --- but the insulin dosing is very low.

Is it possible that I have Woody on too high of a dose? I know I've been advised many times to go higher with the dosage to bring his numbers down ( which seem proper to me) If maybe someone could explain this to me -- cause I feel a bit lost as I study these types of SS's -- okay, and many thanks --

Bit confusing have two of your posts active at one. Here's what I originally added to your previous post but moved here:

Now you know why I said don't shop at Marks! Superstore, Costco, Safeway - all of those had good Lev prices when I was shopping for it. I think vials are available maybe until year end. I personally liked cartridges better. Drop it and less insulin goes bad.
Levemir is used occasionally for dogs, though for them it's a much stronger insulin. Not for cats though. For cats it's very similar in action to Lantus, except the delays in onset and nadir. And possibly a bit better duration. We have quite a few people that switch from Prozinc to Lantus, I think I remember one who went the other direction.

As far as PM test goes, nadirs are typically around +8, depending on the cat of course a bit earlier or later. Neko tended to be +9 to +12. The +12 was great cause I was awake for AMPS.

That 414 was a result of where he went after +2 last night. That was a big drop to +2, signalling an active cycle that could have used more monitoring.
