Good morning!
AMPS 140 shooting .25u
Come on Boomer, to the lagoon with you :Dor this Bean will have to fatten this dose!

Boomer ate most of his overnight fuds; he even ate a wee bit of his +6.

I was afraid that Allen wouldn't eat very well last night; he seemed to be having some appy issues yesterday and kept going over to Boomer's auto feeder instead of wanting to eat his own fuds. So I ended up giving him some ff cod, sole, shrimp which luckily he did not puke up. Last night he not only had 4 choices in his auto feeder buffet but I also left with a plate of cod sole shrimp. He ate everything in sight except for the kidney food. And he did leave us a lb deposit.

Today it's rainy and there are weather "advisories" out for later today when we might receive torrential downpours and severe weather:eek::nailbiting: ok I know some people love storms but I'm definitely not one of them. So no walk today unfortunately but I will spend part of the day sewing.

Last Saturday Boomer allowed DH and I to get out of the house for a while and we drove to Port Stanley on Lake Erie. I know some of the shorebirds are migrating now so I was hoping to see something different. I didn't. lol. But there were lots of Cormorants hanging around the pier in and out of the water. Attached is one of about 50 images I took and I call it "Drying Out".

85 is nice Boomer, but one visit to high greens is not enough. Just sayin', this only delays an increase. Figured I had better keep the pressure on. :p

I would trade a sewing day in the rain any time for hot and smokey. :arghh:
Boomer I hope you heard what your Auntie Wendy said!

Yeah, rain isn't so bad. I can really do without any "elevated risk for tornados though".

Forest fire vs. Tornado. Touch choice.
The first tornado warning associated with this system has been issued in Michigan. Usually the nastiness burns itself out before it reaches London.
I've never had to deal with the threat of a forest fire. Or an evacuation of any kind.
Is your niece working the fire in some capacity?

My niece is working on a river between the two fires, for fisheries. My DBIL however, is working on fires. Retired but back on contract.

Keep it green Boomer. :D

The fires in the west are mind-boggling and so depressing. Hang in there, @Wendy&Neko !

Boomer and Allen both look good. But the lagoon needs Deputy Boomer full time!

Saw a wonderful thing the other day on Pink Pond (a tiny, wilderness pond--a great wetland). A Great Blue heron took off when he saw our canoe, as expected, but then another Great Blue very close to the first also took off, and then a third! I'd never seen more than 1 in one place. It must have been a family.

Great shot of the cormorant.

I hope you don't get the brunt of the storm. No warnings here. In fact, after some rain tomorrow good weather is expected for a few days.

NICE Boomer!! See, he's behaving himself today.........nice pic. I drive/ride the Niagara Parkway to Niagara Falls daily and we have trees covered in cormorants! I should stop and take some pics, but when you see them daily you take it for granted, but I always turn and look. They are not well liked cuz their pee destroys the bark of the trees, saw them in Africa and they don't like them either, lol.

We have a pond here where they regularly hang out in winter; there's usually 3 of them perched in one specific tree. And when I was at a different pond the other day 9 of them flew in and landed. It's a bit unusual to see that many here within the city.
