My poor Trey is at vets to get cleaned out with enema and sedative to dig some out and now they called to say they could not clean him out .....Please pray for him....Kath

Trey is home and very groggy so sad my big boy is sure going through a lot....x ray shows something like maga colon hope we caught it in time. Back in morning for another enema and hope he passes some more. I am just so guilt ridden for not catching this before but I did ask this vet about why his poop would be so dark and spongy looking and she just said who knows what goes on with them. Glad she did go ahead with the x ray I asked for yesterday but she said just too much poop so once we get him moving should be ok. Darn cats never complain enough suffers in silent ....hugsssssssssss thanks Kath & Trey
 
that sounds scary, kath. i hope he's ok being home tonight. :YMHUG:

have you tried the typical anti-constipation tricks? some people have success with canned pumpkin (no spices), my vet had me give punkin oat bran or wheat bran. many people add water to the food - as muh as Trey will stand - because that helps to move things along.

if you want ideas, i'd put it in your subject line tomorrow and the people with experience in that area will come and post.

Thanks Wendy & Julie have been doing the pumpkin because Mikey was having a problem a few weeks ago....Trey is just too blocked for that to help looking like a case of magacolon but still trying...will be making sure he gets lots of fibre after this is over... It is so hard to see them out of it not wanting to eat Trey never refuses food so I know he is not feel well. Did eat some around 9 but never did test or shot he seems sore...rest. Did do a small poop very hard tiny balls ...Hugsss Kath & Trey
