Furball was happy & purry this morning. I hope she slides down today. I'm hoping to do some cleaning that will help get rid of the fleas this weekend, but I have to meet my dad this afternoon for his rescheduled birthday movie and dinner since I got sick last weekend. I can't tell if the DE is making a difference. I'm still seeing lots of fleas and they are getting on the cats again.

Sending prayers to Lucy and Squallie. (@Squalliesmom).

Looks like she is coming down? If it were me I would spray (with the Adams I told you about) or bomb. The DE is working but they are cycling and you just have to keep treating - The flea and tick dip does work.

Bring it on down Furball :bighug:
Nasty ol fleas, go away:mad: I found 1 on Bella last night, picking up more advantage plus at vets tomorrow when I take Abby for T4 testing

Thank you, Carla. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Re: fleas - have you tried capstar to kill the active ones on the cats while you get rid of the ones in the house? Fleas are so awful, we had them for years! They are so terribly hard to get rid of. Revolution was the only thing that finally ended the "Reign of Fleas" at our house; now we've been flea-free for several years!

ug! What a mess with the fleas. I am so sorry you are dealing with this. I've only had them once when I lived in Texas. I used capstar on the cats and took them out of the house for a couple of hours and used a flea bomb. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Slide on down Furball!

Someone else suggested it, but I haven't tried it since it only lasts 24 hours. I am going to try Frontline Plus instead of the Advantage II next time. 1800PetMeds replaced the Advantage since it didn't last. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hope you had fun with your dad.

Apologies if you've mentioned this before, but are you still combing diluted vinegar through the kitties' fur every day? That wouldn't get rid of the fleas in the house, but I'd hope that at least the cats would get bitten less.

I've been forgetting to do that. Thanks for the reminder.

I had a good time with my dad, but it was just bad timing. I needed to be home cleaning. I did manage to get some rooms cleaned and put more DE down. I ended up buying a new shop vac and it is more powerful than my old one. I really like it. I couldn't find a reset switch on the old one to see if it would work any more.

Ditto on how terrible the fleas are. We had to leave the house for the required amount of time and bomb and then use the Revolution for consecutive months to kill the flea cycle and we finally got rid of them. That horrid year was the year we took out dog to NJ shore with us and she got sand fleas and introduced them to the house. It was a nightmare!

You might have to spend some hours out of the house with the cats ( we put ours in carriers and took them to the garage for the required amount of time before we could all come back inside. There was some prep work connected to it, covering food area, etc. It was worth it. Then we got rid of them. I really wanted to do it naturally, but it just wasn't happening. Sometimes when it escalates you have to bring out the big guns.
